My Jetta (03 blk/gray) had them replaced one at a time, then after 3 trips on 3 cylinders they swapped all 4, and no more probs. My GLI never had a single prob.

Take your engine cover off (the main valve cover one) and dont put it back on. The MAIN cause of failure AFAIK is due to excess heat. I know the engine cover doesnt make a HUGE difference as far as heat dispersion within the engine bay, but every little bit should help. I have 43k on my car and am still on the original ones

coil packs are a common and known issue, some were covered under recalls... i know mine have given me a little issues, but nothing bad enough to replace them ;)

Ignition Solutions makes some that are supposedly stronger, but they are VERY expensive IIRC

yeeeaaaaa so i thought maybe some new spark plugs might help. So i change them out and when i do this i notice that gossett only changed out one of my coil packs. When they had told me they changed all of them sooo ima have to give them a royal pain in the ass call tommorow. But yea problem is still not fixed my car is still miss firing under load.
