But you don't know this. Better learn to spell first. I would be pissed if I went to get a tattoo from you and instead of Mike on asshole, you tatted Nike. Later, QD.

You can learn from a friend and then practice on your friends/yourself. I've got a good friend who taught herself (even though she's got a couple of rough tats from when she was first starting out at 16)

I let someone run ink on my leg with only a couple years of experience. I was kinda nervous but watched him closely. He gave me a $500 tattoo for free just so he could practice. I agree with you though, I would be alot more comfortable with someone with at least 10 years or more experience.

just go around to local shops and ask them if u can help out and talk to other artist they should be able to point u in the right direction. oh yeah and i dont have to be able to spell to tattoo .people who want somthin writen bring it in already spelled out if not their retarded a tattoo artist isnt responable for that shit. his job is to put ink on your body not spell check

ive done 6 tattoos. turned out great but experience is definately a plus. but too, ive got a friend who use to work at a shop here in newnan, had 15 years into the hobby, and after 6 years of it, he had arthritis(sp?) pretty bad. so he recently lost his job cuz he had to take extra time to do the tatts. u want someone to take their time so the ink comes out lookin good, but some tattoo shops dont want them takin all day. personally i want to be certified and do em at my house. but yea, ask questions...then after a while order you a kit. practice on the putty thats available, then after u get the hang of it, offer to do ink on a friend. but if ur not certified, dont do one on a complete stranger cause ive had a couple friends get locked up for it.

I agree with pimp.. if you're serious about doing it, get a gun, get the practice skin that's available, practice like hell. Get your drawing skills way up, so that even when you're having a day where you "don't really feel like drawing", you're still doing badass work. A full on apprenticeship is gonna cost you money.. usually around $5k, but it's worth it if that's what you love doing.

I hope you're a good artist to be considering tattooing. If you're just getting started, use this stuff or leather for practice.
