Its a very old zoo and its located in a pretty seedy part of town but oh the memories. I practically grew up there from before I could talk to about 8 years old when my mom quit working there and started her own nature center. There's so much stuff at the zoo that most of the public will never see.

Next time your in Miami, You need to check out Metro Zoo. Atleast when I was growing up in Miami, That was by far the nicest Zoo I have seen yet. Very large and the Animals were given very large areas with no cages just a enviornment that they are used to in the wild, Very cool place.

Kayla is a cute kid! Especially when she's sleeping. They're all angles when they sleep. ;)



I've been to several really great zoos (Washington DC; Denver; Cincinnati; Budapest, Hungray) and I think Atlanta is a great little zoo.
Atlanta relied heavily on Willie B- and didn't plan for the future. That's why the Zoo has suffered since his death. At least that's the opinion of some of my friends who have worked there. but it is just :blah::blah: -you know? ;)

nice pics.. I've lived in Atl for like 5+ yrs and I still haven't been to Zoo Atlanta..

come to think of it, I've only been to SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo

its like 22 or something, show your student id and you get like 4 off....but get this...we got tickets and then walked right in with out having to hand anyone our tickets...its like we could have went in w/o paying cuz no one was paying attention....
