I also heard something about you can mess with the lighting on the gauge cluster if you dont do it right?
how does that work?

if u blow the fuse, the clock on the gauge cluster and the dome light are going to stop working. thats all i can think of.
ur also probably going to have to buy a new plug for the antenna cable if its not a nissan headunit. or u can ignore it and just listen to cds like me.

if you dont wire your illumination switch and your acc wires correctly you can either lose power to the dash, no lights ans guages dont work, or you can just loose the lights in the dash. I have seen both depending on vehicle.

If that was to happen, how would I fix it?

I just went and tried to hook up the radio, atleast the power to see how it looked like, I connected the ground (maybe) , I connected the only purple wire to teh ground on the radio, then I connected the power, this radio has a Red and a Yellow for power and also the 240 has two of the same power cables, maybe be different, tell me if im wrong
Well I connected the power and alternated between the combinations of the red and yellow wires conccted to either of the two power wires on the 240
Well none of the conbinations worked so I gave up, I started up the 240, and to my surprise when I started it up, the windshield wiper also started up to
WTF?!?!
im not an expert with electronics as you can tell
but what the hell happened
and how do I get the damn radio to work?
any help with this would be greatly appreciated
Thanks guys

i dont remember which one it is exactly. just check all the fuses in the fusebox in the driver side kick panel. i dont know about the wipers.

I should have asked this before, do you still have the factory plug in there, or was it cut off? If you do then you can just get a new wiring harness.

Well im not to sure, the wiring harness has ben cut, but I have three different plugs that the owner of the ar gave to me that the 240 has had
im wonderin why the radio didnt even power up whne i had the power wires from the car and the radio connected (the ground was hooked up to) but no speakers wre connected when i was trying, hmm

ok, somehow I fixed the whole wiper thing
But the radio still doesnt work when I hook up the power wires
I have a SONY CDX M610
It looks liek there isnt any power comming from the power wires from teh car, Thats just my observation, is there a way I can check this?
