A couple of videos are in the works by Rick and me... but in the meantime, I'll keep the story short.

I was invited out to a small gathering last night all the way on the other side of the planet... at the meet were a few cobras, clark, a few speedmonkeys, iloveboost, borris, jeremy, and a few other ppl... including a Lingenfelter Stg. II c5z06.

I ran Hydroshutter's 2.2L Kenne Bell Cobra several times... from a 2nd gear roll, we were very closely matched... from my prespective, it seemed like I'd edge away by a half a car to a car at the top of 4th. From a 3rd gear roll, I'd pull ahead by a lil bit more...

Afterwards, we ate at Steak 'n Shake and I was oblivious to the fact that there was a Ligenfelter amongst us... so I turned to the guy sitting next to me (Andy) and asked "so what do you drive?"... can't imagine how wide my eyes may have been when he said a Stg 2 Ligenfelter z06, lol... his car looked 100% stock, sounded 100% stock and fooled the hell outta me.

We went back to the spot, I poured in a few gallons of race gas, switched maps, did a few highway pulls to adjust boost, then we went out to have some fun. Needless to say, I only got one semi-victory and a shit-ton of losses, lol. The only time I beat him was when his traction control was turned on... otherwise, I lost 'bout 4-5 times by anywhere from 2 cars to 1 car towards the end. This is my first time losing on the streets on my new setup... and I must say, it feels good losing to such a powerhouse of a car, lol.

The z06 makes 614whp / 570wtq... the KB makes 588whp / 560wtq. By far my most fun race *ever* was against that Ligenfelter. Now that I feel slow again, gotta think of what to do next, lol...

Great thing about this gathering was that everyone was *VERY* nice... absolutely no shit-talking or cheerleading. Everything was *VERY* well organized also... and there were no ricers or a pack of ppl cramming on the highway just to watch / interrupt. Couldn't ask for a better experience / meet... definitely a fun night.

Yeah Charles, that is a very good place to run (please don't disclose here for legal purposes) and all of those guys are VERY cool, that's our usual crew. I was not able to make it out, but glad you made it out and it seems as though we are all getting back to getting along...the way it needs/should be. Good runs man.

Good runs, guys. Like Charles said, it's always nice to come together with the variety we have and go home without any animosity because he drives this, and she drives that. I may drive a Cobra, but I give cars respect where they're due and last night there were a lot of respectable cars out. I'm at work now, so I'll have to wait to watch this video.

42r by itself would cost way more money than I have... combine that with the fuel system it'd need to support it and that's definitely not in my near future... -.-;

Arrrrrrrrggghhhhh, I am SOOOOO upset I missed it!!! I'm out of town, and won't be back for another week. Sounds like a great time. I've run that Z06 before, and I was child's play to him....so I definitely would have been on the sidelines for the racing :)

Just to let you guys know (and this is not meant as any disrespect to you at all, Charles), that Lingenfelter is detuned a bit. The original owner dropped it from 12.5lbs to 10.5lbs of boost. I believe it was 648rwhp at 12.5lbs of boost. Can't remember if that was on race gas or pump gas though.

Anyway, it is a BEAST. I'm amazed to see that someone was even able to keep up with it!!

Stay tuned, as there may be a video coming in the near future of another C5 Vette that may make minced meat out of the Lingenfelter....without spray!

Correct. The original owner used to track it all the time, and he had a hard time getting out of the hole on the "old setup." Can't remember the numbers, but I THINK he ran mid 10's at mid 130's on the current setup.

Was an awesome night, lots of run, great races :D I would have ran the SRT if I had the new clutch fully broken in.

The previous owner ran a 10.54 @ 136 and a 10.9 @ 138 on the 12.5 PSI and pump (648 RWHP / 603 RWTQ), those were in Texas.

BUT, the best trap speed Andy has run was at Commerce was a 12.7 @ 131 when it was a good bit cooler, and a 11.99 @ 129 a few months ago when it was warmer.

So basically, Charles' Evo is very fast. :crazy:

For this video, I'm using WMM w/ the help of photoshop to create some small effects WMM can't do alone... trying to do a decent length music video with an intro like I've done in the past. I'm stuck at work right now but afterwards, I'll be working on it some more...

But that might be shooting a tad bit high. Right now the 240 is the DD, I should have this car done by the middle of next month. I would love to be invited!

If you're thinking of picture-in-picture effects w/ the video and audio sync'n perfectly, I was thinking of doing it in this video... however, most of the video footage from my car looking to the driver's side wasn't that great... I do have other effects I'm using though in this video that I haven't tried before.

Rick, if you don't mind, I'm using some of your previous footage as well. =]

Well, when I went to the dyno the first time, it wasn't tuned correctly and I was having ignition problems. We'll see when I get it there again. I said at the beginning that it wasn't done yet, so how would I KNOW for sure? No reason to be a cock.
