Shittalking is an American pasttime. Honestly, the key is to let it roll off your back. As long as important personal stuff doesn't wind up being everyone's business, it's not really important.

I know there are a bunch of people who act civil to my face but do nothing but talk shit when I'm not there. I just don't put up with it. I'll ignore them, or just call em out... that is, if it's even worth it. Most of the time it's not.

Moral of the story... be who you are. If you're a douchebag, expect it. If you're a good person, consider it the inevitable prostations of people who don't really want to take the time to get to know you for you.

I say it from having first hand expierence with these people. As they dish it out though, I dish it right back... and honestly I could give 2 fucks less if they like me or not.
