I have two of these and I was going to rip this one apart for parting purposes, but I can't do it. I love the car too much to tear it to pieces. I'd rather sell it whole and get what I can/cut my losses. Anyway:

Red 1990 Mazda MX6 GT Turbo
5-speed
148,xxx miles
NO RUST OR BODY DAMAGE!
3" cat back
Clutchmasters Stage 2 clutch
TurboXS Manual boost controller
"Autogage" Boost guage
Indiglo white face gauges
Recently replaced shifter/tranny bushings
All maintenance is up to date
Recently replaced exh mani gasket

VIN upon request. I have a carfax if you want it as well. It has a clean title.

The interior on this car is pretty immaculate. The stock seats are some of the most comfortable seats you will ever sit in. They are very supportive. I hear they are actually Recaro's, but I can't confirm that.

Original F2T motor and tranny are both in GREAT shape, there was no valve tick or anything when I parked it, so I would assume that once you replaced a few parts it would be a fine running car.

The reason I stopped driving it was because it leaks alot from somewhere around the sunroof/windshield/top of door area on the driver side, I never had the time to diagnose where it was coming from, so I'm not sure what the problem is. It also began shuddering sometimes under boost. I attributed this to the ECU maybe getting wet or even a bad turbo. Like I said, I don't have the time to play with it, since I'm rebuilding a 2nd one already.

At worst, the turbo is blown and you will need to buy a replacement stock turbo for around 100 dollars on ebay or the junkyard. Or if you wanted to make this a SICK little sleeper get a custom manifold made for it and put a t3/t4 turbo on it. It already flies with the stock pea shooter turbo, with a turbo upgrade you could run a easy high 13 second 1/4 mile.

The engine is a 2.2L I4 12v SOHC. From the factory it made 130HP and 190TQ. The car is a torque monster. My current MX6 ran a 14.6 at only 10psi with open downpipe, spinning through 1st, 2nd, and barking 3rd. On slicks it would have done much better. But the car was stock, why bother with expensive tires.

I explain all this to tell you that you could have a nice, fast, unsuspecting car with only a minimal amount of time and effort/money. I want to get back into the Honda scene as soon as I finish my current MX6 GT project, so I would be willing to trade this MX6 for a civic shell. Not too picky on the year I guess, Just has to be in good shape.

I'm located in the southern part of GA, but will be willing to deliver for a minimal fee. Also, if you want to trade me a shell, I will deliver for free, as I will have to tow the new shell home.

Here is a pic of it sitting next to my project GT. Its under the tarp so the inside doesnt get ruined from rain:

Here is a link to a vid of when it ran. The squealing noise I was trying to diagnose was the exhaust manifold gasket. Its a pretty common problem among the turbo MX6s, so I replaced it and no more squealing noise. :) You can see how easily it started and how well it ran.

I'm asking $750obo or trade for a civic shell.

If you have questions, please ask me. :) This is one of the most fun cars I have ever owned.

BTW, if I'm mising anything, please let me know. I'm trying to be thorough. :)

I'm pretty sure Lee and I have a deal worked out. :)

But the ECU is not chipped. Usually boost cut on the stock ECU is 10psi, but my friend had his at 12psi with no boost cut. It really depends on the weather, I think. But I will let you know if this doesnt work out. Like I said, I really want to get back into my hondas, and this is a good way to start. Thanks for the interest.

Nice protege, BTW.
