i know the braves always start off slow and then make a run at the end to win the division, and have won like 14 straight divisions, but its not gonna happen this year. 6 game losing streak now, and the Mets just keep winning.

the braves definately need someone to buy them that actually cares about baseball, like Ted Turner was, instead of AOL and all that bs, keep on selling the braves to companies that could careless if the braves win. The Braves need to have an owner like George Steinbrener of the Yankess, someone who doesn't play around, goes out and gets big name hitters, pitching and bullpen help. Thats what the braves need, lose the guys that never do anything including hit/pitch.
At this point, its like the braves have lost all steam and will continue to lose and lose and play shit baseball, our lineup just plain sucks. The Mets on the other hand, have Carlos Delgado, Pedro Martinez and Billy Wagner, those three alone are really good players that are known for it. The Mets actually have a really good team this year, they have more threats in their lineup then the braves, our threats, chipper and andruw have no really produced power numbers like they should, and Francoeur is not having the year like we all thought. I've been a braves fan for the past decade but its frustrating to watch them implode on themselves like this.

Chipper may be a veteran to the team and winning. But, he's def. new to losing. These guys just dont know what to do, or where to fix it. Its time for drastic changes. Something needs to happen with the pitching.. we get pitching going...and we'll be set. Things will take care of themselves from then on out. to make this really simple... the braves are going to win the division. The mets will find some way to mess things up for themselves as all the other teams in the east do when they put up a little challenge for the braves. I've been a fan since I started watching baseball in 1990 and the braves were the only team I watched play. (we only get tbs from america on cable in Jamaica lol.) I've seen them come back from everything. They will pull the division win off. ok, yea the mets are on fire right now, but there playing below .500 ballclubs. They are def. not unstoppable by any mean. Francouer is doing just fine now, he has 19 HR and 69 RBIs. How is that bad? yea he started out slow but hes doing just fine now. Smoltz is still picthing great and isnt going any where. He left the game with a lead in 5 different games this season and the bullpen blew it(hence his record not being great). But he is also doing just fine. The mets have a good team, but they are no where near unstoppable. The braves are only 5 back from the wildcard and have a really good chance of making it to the playoffs(which is all that matters). It dosnt matter what your record is in the playoffs. Everyone has a "fresh" start. I think the team with the best record should have home feild advantage instead of the all star game deciding. oh yea the mets lost yesterday :)

yep, they need to get the bats going again, andruw had like 5 strikeouts yesterday, and chipper just went on the DL. Not looking good for the braves now. They finally helped out their bullpen but now are going to have a hard time getting runs. I went to the game yesterday and am going today. My dads season tickets are right next to the braves dugout and let me tell u, the braves just look beat. Yesterday they werent showing any effort to win.
