Need help with battlefield 2

When I hit the login button it say "logging into account" for a long time and then automatically starts loading a random multiplayer server instead of letting me choose the server I want. Does anyone know how to fix this?

maybe you need to update...i remember first getting the game and then it would do the same thing...after i updated it was fine

try the auto ready feature, i turned that off and it seemed to stop, it happened to me for awhile, but it also stopped when i got 1.3
