how far is it from gainesville?

Im not sure where gainesville is, but Spartanburg is 2 hours from the Mall of GA.

I make it from my house in Cumming to Spartanburg in 2:15 all the time. Its an easy drive straight up 85...

FYI....be CAREFUL through Greenville, I see a LOT of police through there.

Yes I am that Alex from the Varsity and I will be there to show and maybe even judge.

As for the allstars entering or just showing, I would say just to show mainly because of the conflict of interest. Last years' show was fun and I never had so many people kiss my ass (as a judge) but what people didnt tell me is once the results were read and trophies given out, I would need a body guard to walk me to my car.

I know "set-up" for vendors is friday, but I spoke with the guys putting on the show, and know that the show cars can roll-in on Saturday morning....probably until 10:00 or so (for those who want to park indoors). This time is TENTATIVE, so PLEASE check with the show folks before finalizing your plans....

if we can only make it on sunday are we able to compete in the show? or is it all judged over two days or just judged over on saturday? i can only get one day off of work.

My understanding is that you can show on Sunday only...but, you cannot get inside parking. They have both inside and outside parking.
Since the show floor must be set-up and finalized saturday before they open to the public, I dont think the fire marshall will allow cars to be moved until the end of the show sunday. Not 100% on that part though.

So, YES, I am fairly sure you can enter for Sunday only...but only outside parking.

We are doing the final touches on several cars, this is why only one could make it to S3 - we repainted three cars/trucks just for this event. I think you drove by while I was polishing the civic the other day? It may have been Jeff. Anyway we are game on for the show.
