IMO The RSX looks better and costs more, but the SI has more performance (LSD) and is cheaper.

RSX all day, more power, better suspension, what more can you ask for? plus theres ton of parts out for it.

Tough choice. Probably Honda because insurance would save you money.

The Type S. Hmmmmm the Si does come with navigation as an option though.

Type S only because the interior of the Si is ugly........

that one is tough, the si has nav but I'd probably somehow still come out with the type s..

Type-s, performance wise, they're pretty close (even though the si has an lsd, i heard its balancing shafts take away from its power...and i think the fg is heavier then the dc5). plus the rsx will be more rare since they were discontinued

I was actually lookin for a thread exactly like this or I was gonna start one, Im liking the RSX though because it has leather, seems a little more classy to me.

driven both and performance wise, they felt VERY similar. the type s had around 50k and the SI was 2 days old off the lot. interior though, kinda a toss up but im not impressed with the new civics exterior lines. so with that said i would go rsx

i dont know if id rather have the leather option with the rsx type s or the navigation option of the si

im not really a big fan of leather in cars but i generally know where the hell im going so nav isnt really a consideration

its about what u like. i like the looks of an RSX better. And the quality is better on the RSX. Seats feel nicer in the RSX. Its the small things you need to look at. The engines are basically the same so you need to look at different things.

Honda for performance and Acura for looks we all know this.... Ive drove both and the SI feels better for some reason. Hell i though the RSX had LSD??? I dont think i want leather n atlanta anyways... So i must say 06 SI

if you look for the future or something, the RSX is discontinued after '06, so it will be worth more. Plus Acuras don't appreciate at all in the first place so resell is a big factor. The Si feels "beastier" if thats a word, but based on performance, they are both about the same.

Personally I would go with the RSX if I had the money. My friend bought a brand new '05 and I love the way it looks. Its all about the options though

Aren't the pricing for the two very similar too? Depreciation could affect your decision, but it isn't like the Honda will drop off more than the Acura. Both retain their values very well. I think it is a tough decision, but I would probably go with the Honda. NAV is awesome; plus the limited slip is cool. Aren't these two rated the same for power? I know Acura revised their ratings for power with the SAE system, and all Max power ratings on their lineup fell by about 10 horses consequentially. So aren't they too much alike?

You can check out their website. They have released official statements and everything.
*edit*
In all fairness, these are just rumors I suppose. I believe it is true because it is substantiated fairly well through a consistent story on every web page that I have encountered. (including several reputable magazines.) Perhaps we ought to take it with a grain of salt. We all know how secretive Honda is. They are keeping everyone in the dark about the S2000, so why not screw around with the future of the RSX.

I'd throw in a vote for the Type S (probably because I have an '05 as my daily). Just can't quite come to grips with the styling of the Si...not a big fan of the short overhang on the front as well as the windshield size/angle.

Cheers!
