My friend has a nice Type-s, and the interior on those are real nice, but that is probly not a main concern of yours. Thats a really tough choice....not sure what I would pick.

I've never driven an ITR but the type-s is nice; I had fun driving it. personally, i don't think the rsx is common (I rarely see them, plus theyre being discontinued starting last month...more rare :D ). I'd pick type-s

Damn, I've seen this debate alot. The type-S is more of a comfy luxury daily driver, while the Type R is edged more towards the track. I'd go with the Type R.

RSX if you live in an area with a high theft rate. If you get a type-r, you'll have to deal with the paranoia of that shit being stolen...trust me, it sucks! :2cents:

I'd say the ITR. I've driven the DC5 type S, but the DC2 feels raw. There's no denying the K series though. I'm a little biased.

as a type-R pimp i would have to say that the DC2 is by far the best. Unfortunetly I had to sell mine due to an accident that i had, but soon I will have another but this time it will be a right hand drive.....

The type-S is more of a comfy luxury daily driver, while the Type R is edged more towards the track. I'd go with the Type R.
I agree with Blk...
Driven 3 examples of the Type R...great track car. Not too refined, but very quick. But I would recommend the Type S.
I own/drive an '05 Type S on a daily basis...very nice ride (and surprisingly quick). If you are wanting a very nice daily driver with a sport-minded attitude...invest in a clean (un-molested) Type S.
Some other points to consider:
1. As mentioned in a few previous posts, theft rate with ITR is much higher...tends to lead to higher insurance costs.
2. Loan value on ITR is much lower...banks don't tend to care about the "collectability" factor adding value. Therefore, you will be upside down if you finance as much as you can with the ITR...If you ever have it totaled/stolen, your recovery value will be less than you have invested.
3. The K20 is the future of Honda tuning...B series motors have already reached their potential...in the not too distant future, bolt-ons and technology for these motors will dry up a bit (so they will become a bit more costly to modify).
4. All that being said...there is just no denying the mystique that surrounds the ITR...for that reason alone it would be worth owning one (if even for a short period of time before you go out and buy a Type S) if you can afford the drawbacks.
Cheers!

are you talking about the motor or the chassis?
if we have to choose one and be done with it, then hands down itr.
but obviously if you have to ask the question in the first place, then you have no idea what the itr is and it wouldn't be the ride for you for those specific reasons that make it great... so take your mac struts and k and be happy with a plush ride.

What I said was "so take your mac struts and k and be happy with a plush ride."
Meaning, if you really have to ask the question then you don't know enough about the itr. So just take the type S with the macpherson strut setup (inferior), kseries motor (great for allmotor), and be happy with the softer suspension, higher seating position, and leather seats, higher curb weight, etc.

ITR hands down, couple reasons......they're rare (only a certain amount was manufactured) and is imprinted on your badge, has the strongest running dohc vtec motor made by honda, can take extreme abuse, very mod friendly, resell value is still high on it, and can still dust a RSX-S. Need more?

Stock for Stock the type-r will pull, but mod for mod the type S will pull hard...I know from experience. :D Ask Hang about our run when the only thing I had was a CAI, and that was from a dig. We were door to door. I think he had i/h/e w/ suspension.

Ask yourself why you don't see Type R's on the road...People are either afraid to drive them around town or it's sitting in the juckyard naked.

i have a type s and i think its pretty badass ive seen the type rs and heard from the other posts seems to me ur going to get a better deal with the s since there are more mods and it just fuckin looks sicker... id def like to drive the type r another thought since the type rs are more "rare" they have been around longer than the type S and now that the line of rsx type s has stopped wouldnt that make them just as rare in about 5-10 years? im not saying ones better than the other since i have no experience behind the wheel of a type r but ive gutted my type s and that shit flies
