both are better than the 7m-gte. both come stock twins. 2jz-gte has much better head design. 2jz-gte is the best of the three.

single turbo so the head gasket doesnt blow that much?

I think most of the race teams use a copper coated stock headgasket on their 2jz motors. You have to be making pretty good power to blow a 2jz head gasket even with stock head studs.

^^^I love the wingless look. On our drag Supra we used the stock MLS Head Gasket all the way up to 1100 whp. More importantly it was making 40-42 psi. With ARP head studs of course. In 4 years at BG I have never had to replace a blown head gasket on a 2JZ-GTE. 7M is a different story.

Thanks, stock wingless too so no holes FTW. LoL

Yeah these engines are amazing at taking just about anything you can throw at them. It's also kinda crazy how far you can go with just stock internals.

Anyones that interested heres a good site with FAQ's and tech articles to learn about Supras and the wonder that is the 2JZ-GTE. http://www.mkiv.com

the 1jz is a 2.5 and tends to rev alittle easier

YOU THINK A 1JZ WILL LIVE LONG IN A 700 HP ENVIROMENT?

KEEP IN MIND WITH A SINGLE T66 BALBEARING TURBO AND A HALTECH ENGINE MANAGEMENT!

the 1jz head flows better at lower HPs and for better spooling, the 2jz will be better for higher HPs but spools well also :)

they both have different flow characteristics(sp?)

the 1jz with stock or upgraded twins is great for road corses n stuff

it all depends on what you want to do with the car
