I am going to be taking my engine out in a few days and i want to get the head rebuilt since i will be replacing the piston rings in the block. I have an 01 GSR and wanted to know who does good work in GA I can take my head to. Please include name and number of people that do good work at a reasonable price. Thanks.

what all do you want done to the head? do you just want to pressure test, clean and mill the head or do you want to replace the valve stem seals and reseat the valve? if you want to just do the first, the price is only $150. if you want to rework the head with new seals, then the price is $350. the turn around for the first is two days and the turn around for the second is three days. let me know if we can help. remember that we can also do port and polishing with aftermarket valve, spring and retainers. we also offer skunk2 heads as well. anything you may need.

depends what you want to do.

Usually, i reccomend valves, valve job, springs an retainers (I only use Skunk2 PRO or Rocket Motorsports) cam seals, valve stem seals.

depends on how many miles is on the head as well. If its got more than 100k on it i would def get new guides installed as they tend to wear out pretty fast.

street port starts at $800, includes guides an a valve job. Same port that was done to my 240whp ALL MOTOR lsvtec.

ferrea valves ususaly run about $200, Rocket springs an retainers $250-300 depending on what generation you want. Valve stem seals are $30 from Ferrea.

^^ I'm not gonna mutt out the head for a street car daily driver --> I'm gonna pick a vendor and stick w/ them since their products will be designed to work together. I was thinking Ferrea or Manley.

Nothing wrong with using diffrent vendors, every company has their strong product. The Ferrea stuff is always nice though.
