i've got a small leak in my manual transmission, can anybody tell me if they know of any easy way to fix this? i crawled under there and it looks like a small hairline crack, i know there is that stuff you can use on automatic transmissions that will stop the leaks but i wasn't sure if i could use that on mine or not. i'm not too worried about long term damage because the tranny is going in the trash in about 6 months.

i'm basicly looking for any way, ghetto rigged or not, to stop the leak long enough to drive the car from lawrenceville to gainesville and back like 10 times (hwy driving, 60-70 mph). i'd just refil it as a go but the fill hole is a pain to get to.

put rice down where the fluid goes... and then it will cook up and seal the crack. It also smells nice while redlining. ud be a true ricer then lol jk bored

i was going to say jb weld but then again, fluid might not make it bond too well...

well the crack is in a very un-weld-able spot, i've got a new transmission i just don't have time to put it in yet. i tried my best to but some JB weld on there i'll see how that holds...i was just wondering if anyone knew of any additives like they make for the automatic transmissions, radiators, etc.
