I did the paint in the backyard for 'ratedEG' several weeks ago (1/3 Primer, 1/3 epoxy catalyst, 1/3 reducer) and put on the wheels today. "Mild" LS and it can't wait for boost and Ferio interior... :)

nice job. what are your rates (minus the cost of materials) for a one color paint job on a small car (exterior and jambs)?Buy me a bigger air compressor and i'll do it for free :D otherwise i'm not really in the painting business, my shops not set up for it and prepping most cars takes way too much time to make it worthwhile...

lol, what are you using? surely not one of those little pancakes?naww, it's a decent size...it's just 50 years old, really quiet but builds up pressure slowwwwly. The big gauge on it is from a WWII navy ship ;)

know what cfm its rated at?I don't have a clue...i ran a regulator in-line set at...hell, i can't remember...just kept adjusting everything until i could get a decent spray. I don't even have a water removal filter on it
Actually, you're gonna laugh..i sprayed one 1/2 then turned the car around and sprayed the other (sunlight and breeze were factors) then it got rained on before it was put inside...It had water spots on it so I wiped down & resprayed the entire car with a Krylon rattle can the next day because i was out of the epoxy catalyst

dude thats awful lol umm dont you get oil and water all in your gun and paint*looks around for the person that cares* ...lol. $80 paintjob (materials) and 3 hrs of work total. If i was actually making any money off doing this (i hate doing bodywork) then it would be a whole differant story. I'm not in the painting business, just randomly do stuff when i feel like it and anything short of rolling paint on this car would have made it look better

thanks for takin the shots. u made my car look hot! cant wait to do the brakesOnce it's done we should do a small vinyl list on a window or something with how much has been spent on the car...engine, wheels, paint, brakes, turbo, etc. with the last line being "Beating you - $Priceless$"

damn son, u know what ur doing with ur car:goodjob: are u ganna get that side molding fixed on the fenderA few months after the pics the molding was fixed, a few Ferio parts were put on, and the car was painted back to the original dark blue metallic that matched the door jambs and under the hood...If you only knew what the car looked like before removing the body kit, cleaning it up, putting on the C8's, and my "satin" black spray job covering the 5+ year old baby blue with mismatched fenders
