The other night I'm sitting here posting on the forums and LankHoss(Brad) gives me a call to tell me some pretty chilling news.
"Dude, I just saw a viper flip over and go airborne"
At first I didn't believe it, but I got directions to where he was at, grabbed the camera and was on my way to the scene to snap some pics. I arrived at the scene and it was pretty much your basic crash scene  (people watching, cops, etc.) Apparently, the Viper driver either took a curve too sharply and didn't correct in time, or it was too much vehicle(power) with too little experience in a vehicle such as this. :nonono: I'll let Brad go into detail.
I honestly didn't think the Viper would be as bad as I was told- I was WRONG.
Here are the pictures I took. Please excuse the size, I don't feel like resizing them now.

Did the owner of the Viper let you all take pics of yourselves smiling next to the wrecked car?

I was thinking the same exact thing and im 99.99999999999% sure it did. not to say anyone deserces to die but that guy definately deserves what he got. hes lucky to get up after that. Guarantee you the fucker drinks and drives again. Sorry bout ranting but ive got a buddy who is paralized now from a drunk driver who served 6 months in jail. Fucker toatlled his benz into him and got 6 months in jail and gets to go enjoy life while other people get to wheel themselves around all day and not get to do normal things anymore so anyone who drinks in drives, IMO deaserves to DIAF

Damn man, that sucks. I doubt the car happened to land right next to a intact slash just crused beer can. If it had been sittin out in the sun, it would have faded.

Fantastic, but why is that in the kills section? I guess the viper killed itself? :wtf:
If youre too busy to format them, dont post them :jerkit:

Really really quick summary for you guys. I watched the whole thing happen right in front of me. The beer can just HAPPENED to be there. The car happened to land in a literal pile of trash in the ditch, very strange coincidence. Both of the passengers were fine, the passenger only suffered minor cuts on the legs.
And about the pictures of us next to the car.....yeah, they didn't care. The funny thing was, "I" was more shooken up than the people in the car. They acted like they didn't care. Then the passenger's parents showed up, and they were just socializing and cutting up the whole time. One of the first things the guy's dad did, was told his son to go stand over in front of the car and put his foot up on it like he "conquered it" so he could take a picture of him. After that, we figured it was ok for us to take a few pics of ourselves next to the car.
I don't think the situation is funny at all, but maybe it's a good thing to laugh a little. The reason I'm smirking isn't because of the accident, it's because we were doing it right in front of the cops while they were still taking pictures of it heh

Aren't all those light circles in the second and fourth pics supposed to be dead spirits or something? Think I remember seeing something on TV about that -- not so sure I believe that stuff but think its interesting. And how the f do you flip a car that low and wide?

Holy fuck, whoevers was in that car is lucky to be alive, that sucks
Wow but i wonder how much damage it will be to fix, i hope thats not one of the viper guys that was running with us the varsity a couple months back, those were cool dudes.
But shit good luck with the insurance on that one. It sucks seeing a car of that caliber wreck like that

Driver was only 23 years old and the passenger was 14, and it's a 2001 that was Saphire Blue...only year they made that color. The minivan was the passenger's family's car.

Look like it was a nice car. Glad the guy is okay. I guess he has plenty of money not to worried about the car. I would so pissed if that was my car.

Please tell me the passenger wasn't his girlfriend.
Cause a 23-year old guy driving a Viper and dating a 14 year old? That's WAY too early for a mid-life crisis.

heh.. speaking from experience.. Vipers are rarely fixed. Inurance makes you put a "Declared value" on them. That hood alone for it is $10,000 from Dodge if you were to buy one. these people would be idiots to not let insurance give them a check for it. And i say give them a check for it because dodge doesn't finance a Viper. You either buy it or not.

He bought it in February.
I think the reason so many people wreck Vipers, is there aren't really any affordable cars near their performance. People usually from from a 300bhp Z28 to a 450bhp Viper with a suspension that's twice as stiff. I probably woulda done the same thing if I had that car at a young age. I babied my Z06 around with traction control on for several months before I got comfortable with it. And I'm still scared of it heh
