What kind of resolution is it to watch TV, comparatively speaking?

when your talking about a tv. and not a actual computer monitor. They always run at the stated resolution.

Also why a 1080p TV running a 1080i signal looks better. It has to alway use a higher pixel count.

I totally lost you there.

I'm just wanting to know how it compares to my conventional TV I have in my bedroom as far as resolution is concerned.

I've seen some LCD/Plasma TV/Monitors that are really pixelated when it comes to live TV. I'm just wondering how this one stacks up that way.

ahh

yeah all lcd's and plasma's will be pixelated when your standing close. Depending on the size you are supposed to be a certain distance away from the tv. Its the flaw of this type of technology. Also applies to LCD projections.

watching regular tv/dvd i'd say you should be at least 5 feet form the 26". If its HDTV signal then you can be a little closer.

A conventional tv I believe runs 525 lines of resolution.

hope this helps

my video card isnt as up todate as i hope it would be. Thus im building a new one. Seems my video card doesnt support the exact resolution i need. That was the best i could setup my card to do without stretching the image in any direction.

So is this one pixelated when watching live TV or is it just an optical illusion from standing too close?

How many lines of resolution is this one then?

again every lcd will be pixelated if you stand too close. As to the looking pixelated thats the bad thing about lcd's and plasma's. if you have a bad feed going into it. Like lets say a old VHS tape. it wouldnt look as good as a CRt tv. So in bad feed cases yes even at a distant it would look slightly cloudy (pixelated in clumps). At a far enoughd istant it wont at all. if your looking for a lcd type tv from anywhere tho just keep in mind this is for all lcd / plasma's.
