Directions please. I want to go there. Looks beautiful and nice pics as well!Straight up...I-85 North, merge left 985, turns into 365, turns into 441...Tallulah Falls City limits, don't go over 35. Cross the bridge and follow the signs for the next right (maybe 2nd?) Jane Hurt Yarn trail/National Forest Center.
It's not too far from Helen...can make a long mtn run out of it sometime.

Good roads on the way? I don't think I've ever really been up 985.

Good roads on the way? I don't think I've ever really been up 985.no good roads...just straight shot up on boring expressway/interstate roads all the way up then eventually a 3 to 4 lane road with a little elevation change (still boring) and then 2 lane underconstruction for a short distance. The drive is boring as it gets...unless you're going through south georgia in the middle of the day that is BUT from 441 and 365 there are a few roads that cut across towards Helen.
Also, Tallulah is in Rabun Co., the county in the upper most top right of Georgia at the the NC, SC, Georgia border...you can go over to Hiawasee or up to Franklin then to Deals Gap (tail of the dragon) from there.
