i need experiences on some khumos

i have some 15x7 slipstreams sitting in my living room. im gonna wrap them with 215/50/15. this will effectively lower my gearing just a little, give me the litttle wider traction i want, and let me put the damn rims on my tires finally haha. anyway, i want to get the khumo ecsta 711s. i have heard mixed reviews. i don't really know what to say so im asking here. please please, if you think they suck SAY WHY. i need explanations. if you like them tell me too hah thanx!:D

they look like a performance, they smell like a performance tire, they are round and black like a performance tire...

but they're not a performance tire...

they're an H speed rating, squishy sidewall, they've never been engineered as a performance tire...

don't get me wrong for the money they're asking for them (bear in mind that tire usually marked up by 53%).....one cannot argue...but they're a lot better tires out there

140 in a Civic.....BAHAHAHHAHA!!! Unless there is a swap in there (and I would have to see proof to believe typing) there is no way in hell. Actually, if you own a 96-00 Civic you can't go past roughly 120. :rolleyes:

Now on to the point of this thread....you are arguing with theskinnyone, who SELLS TIRES FOR A LIVING. Do you want him to write you a 4 page thesis on why these tires suck? A speed rating of "H" and the word "performance" go together like peanut butter and DOG SHIT. You want an economy tire to go be a stunna with your friends on, then by the 711s. If you actually want to DO something performance driving wise, then buy some REAL tires.

omg i'm not the engineer for kumho, neither is anyone else on this board. if u really want something substantial, do a google for some reviews, that simple. i'm sure u'll still see at that point that the asx for one is a better tire than the 711.

never had 15's (prelude came stock with 16s) but these are the tires i've run (i'm running 205/40/17):
Yokohama ES100
-great dry grip
-sucks in the wet
Cooper Zeon 2XS
-decent dry grip
-squishy sidewall
-wet grip decent
-price wise it's really attractive
Pirelli Pzero Nero UHP
-absolute awesome dry grip
-great wet grip
-low noise
-overall the best tire i've ever had

-i'm getting some BF Goodrich KDW (new tread) installed soon....i've heard nothing but excellent reviews on these tires...so i'm willing to try these out...i'll be running 215/40/17

see i did not know the dude sold tires and knew about them. anyway i have a choice between the BF goodrich, or like dunlup sport 5000's in the size. i think ill go with dunlop. any complaints about that tire?
idk shit about goodrich. but im riding stock steelies dunlops right now. i like them.
