ok this sounds ghetto but i had to us my back up tires for the weekend, and the low pros look lame with stock height on my 95 talon, how many coils or length to cut to make it lowered like 2 inches maybe. Sugesstions other than buyin springs in a bind before import showdown

Seriously, the only reasonable suggestion is to find some cheap springs. There is no accurate way of cutting the springs other than trial and error... and your spring rate will absolutely suck IMO.

put 200lbs in the trunk. handling will be about the same as cuting them lol

Is it a progressive rate spring (the coils spread out more on one side than the other)? If so, pull off the springs, stand them up on a table with the softer side down (more spread out coils at bottom), & using a ruler measure 2" and cut....or spend a couple hours browsing local forums and find a set of lowering springs.

seriously dude browse local forums, and look for some used lowering springs... jeebus dont cut them. one of my coworkers did that to his sunfire, and his car looks like it handles like shit, especially going over a small bump; he bounces everywhere.

cutting the springs is rice.....ignorant and not safe....just spend the extra money to buy a real lowering kit like coil overs over some thing simple like that. don't cut springs...
