to the self-proclaimed "fastest" street truck in Atlanta

I heard there was a gen2 lightning out at the Gwinnet meets this weekend claiming to be the fastest street truck that runs around Atlanta... especially from a dig.
I think I need to go ahead and call BS on that, but Id like to hear more details about it first ;)
And Im not talking about trailered race trucks, such as the gen1 lightnings that Ive seen trailered around on Barrett. I dont count those as "street."

lol, i talked to this guy for like one second. he's a retard man, there are two black lightnings in gwinnett, one driven by a big tall country guy with a huge redneck accent who claims to be (the fastest truck in GA), and one driven by a white guy with the mtv thug look.

Im not getting your point about laughing. Ive seen a couple gen1 lightnings in Kennesaw, and Ive heard from reputable sources that they are fast as shit. But given Ive seen one of them twice, both times on a trailer, I have to presume its not really a streetable vehicle.

There is a older black lighting running around barret that I have raced and it ran damn good. From what the guy told me it was a big cube motor with a 300shot on it and I ran him off the bottle and he pulled my Z06 with longtubes and exhaust so if he did have a 300 shot I would say he would be in the fastest truck catagory easy.

bring it out to SDR on the June 25 when you get your mods. i should have the truck out there then.

well whenever i finally got it out of the whole i was able to get up to 101.28 but my best 60' was 2.515 and my fastest 1/8 was 9.755..it was ok for my fisrt time in the new truck...cant wait to see the difference in a few weeks though:goodjob:

wow. that truck should be able to cut a 2.0 60'. You get the launch worked out, and there is your high 13 the way it sits... MPH is pretty close to expected.

yea i think just the track was in really shitty condition...hopefully when we go to commerce ill do better..i know i deffinately need to get a chip so i can adjust my gears cuz they are crap..lol its like my truck gets confused trying to shift from 1st to 2nd..but oh well not bad for factory performance

yeah man not bad, dont feel bad.. first time at the track in my Z ever i ran a 16.6 lol... wit a 2.8 60' (lol.. i dumped and spun.. grabbed 2nd spun more.. got sideways a bit almost hit the wall let off.. gentley tapped the brakes and half assed it the rest of the way down) lol.. but yeah man, get that 60ft down and you'll see some high 13's.
