Just wondering who really knows their stuff out there, I'm not 21 yet, but I think I have more than enough points...from what I calculated I have 12~13 points in violations/citations.

-2 speeding tickets (one was 12 over, another was 21 over)
-2 moving violations

But yeah, laugh at me all you want, I just want to know the facts, I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose my license, it's just taking the government a while to get around to it, which I don't mind at all..

if your ticket is 13 or below it does'nt count any points 13 or higher i think its 1 point and anything 20+mph higher its 2 points if your under 21 your only allowed 4 points before you get your lisense suspended for 6months and if you accumlate anything over 4 points it could also add to you suspension

when i was 17 i had 7 points towards my record and got 2 6 month suspensions that accumalated into a year revocation...

hope that helps

it depends you might be able to go and fight it and they could drop it but when you go to court theyll be like yeah if you wanna pay the fine now you can and theyll tell you how many points if you fight it you gotta go back

you are correct, you r gonna lose your license its just a matter of time. I didn't lose mine till about 6 months after I got my last ticket.

if my memory serves me correct all moving violations you get under 21
is worth 3 points or more no matter what even if its a 10mph or over
ticket.

there r loopholes to get you out of 1 ticket since you are under 21 but
since you already have too many it wont work for you.
so I hope you like being a passenger,
but good luck anyways

BUHAHAHAHAH sucks for you. Though i got lucky when my suspended license came around. I only had it for 3 weeks and got it back. But i also just had two tickets one for 20 and 22 over. But it took them a year and 6 months before they sent me my notice.

it has nothing to do with age. if you are 25 you can lose your license for getting 4 points if you still have a CLASS D LICENSE. You able to upgrade it when you are 18 to a class C which is a normal license allowing around 15 points i think.

if you have a class D license after you turn 18 and you get pulled over you can get a ticket for that one too.

you wont be able to have 15 points till you turn 21,
I was told this by the DMV when I went to get my shit back
so till then you can have only 4 points no matter what class your license is.

yea i think spoolin is right on the class D and C thing i didnt get my liscense till i was 18 and i immediently got my Class C but i fuked up lots of times to compensate for being a late bloomer - ie three speeding tickets(14,19,and21 over) failing to yeild(fucked up a 1st gen auto eclipse :super: ), then i got 2 tickets for my eg windshield being cracked , when i first started driving i didnt have my headlights on at like 6:37 exact time but by the time he was done writing the ticket it was like 745 so it was dark , last but far from least a state trooper fucked me up - 3 tickets total - no insurance ,sus registration, speeding(14 ov)
warning on the frnt left tire bing low , and having a cracked wind sheild .... i just pled no lo on the no insurance got to keep my liscense and im still on probation ..... that last shit load of tickets were in my sisters pos i was runnin to get som parts for my hatch

I've busted so many times, it's not even believable.... I'm 35 and I racked up WAY over 15 points inside of about 14 months. I got nailed @ 127mph in NC and I was banned from driving in NC for 1 year + $1000 fine (that one sucked...); others included 98 in a 65; 79 in a 45; and 96 in a 65; (there were a couple of others but I can't remember)

I finally got the DOT hate mail suspending my license for getting 15+ points in a 24 month period. Just out of pure luck, I took a Defensive Driving class (two 3 hr sessions for $75) THE DAY BEFORE THE SUSPENSION STARTED. At 12:01am my license was suspended. The next morning, my wife drove me to the nearest DL office where I paid $210, had ALL the points wiped off my license, and I walked away (... my wife was really pissed off...She wanted them to beat the hell out of me). So in actuality, my license was suspended for a grand total of 9 1/2 hours

however, JUST from what I remember, I've probably blown $2000-$2500 on tickets over the past year and a half....

And if you're under 21 you're toast for just about ANY moving violation

here's a trick i always keep an out of state license cause only the state it is issued from can suspend it. the only thing they can do is suspend your right till you pay the fine. my right to drive in mass, connecticut, virginia, south and north carolina, and georgia. that's what i do. my car is still registered and insured in ga. i just say i just moved here or i say i go to school here.
