Is it possible for me to add a lip to a rim? I have some wheels that are 17x7.5 all around, but i would really like my rear to be 17x10 :D

Does anyone know if its possible, and where and how much? Thanks a lot :goodjob:

Do you mean ON a GTI? And yes i do mean ON a GTI. Shows how much you know about Vdubs ;)

Yea Paul I saw the same thread on vortex where some dude added a lip to his steelies. I was wondering if there was a place around here that would do it and how much it would cost

Hey Drupason, i love the wolfsburg wheels!!!

its possible on some wheels such as the 3-piece BBS RSs

you could do it on any type of wheel, but the chances of getting them put together and straight are slim and if you cut/weld an aluminum wheels odds are it'll break in no time. buy real wheels, it'll end up being cheaper.

I know theres a post somewhere about this

they basically cut some rims in half and that and welded them wider

Cool, thanks for the info. The problem is, i can't find those wheels with those offset. They only come in 17x7.5 :(

O well, i just wanted to know if it could be done. Thanks for the info and the input :goodjob:

Its not being cheap you stupid son of a bitch. It's asking a fucking question.

What if there was a set a wheels that you really liked but didn't have the offset you needed, wouldn't you ask questions?

I already have the rims, so being cheap and buying rims is not the problem at all. Finding a bigger lip for my rear is the problem. I'm not gonna settle for something i dont want :2up:
