Ive got a track event next Monday Ill be attending and I want to do something cool with my helmet. Does anyone by any chance know the type of paint I need to use for the helmet, and are the steps the same to paint it as any other plastic piece?


Also, color suggestions would be cool! Its currently all black.

You can use any type of paint you want, but it will possibly void the Snell Certification on it if you do. Some paint shops will have Snell Certified paint which is supposed to be fire retardant. I'd ask around the local paint/body shops about it. :)

Paint it just like anything else. ideas for helmet scheme. I don't know really know go to a bowling ball shop and see what the designs are. hey them might have soemthing good or could be a waste of time. lol

If you have the time and someone to do it.. why dont you do like a whole ice cube on fire type theme.. i think that would be cool.. have the blues like its ice and cold and then fade into the reds and oranges like its on fire.. but I am not sure how technical and advanced you are trying to go..

well you can have a skelton head and let flames out out on the sides ..
