you're thinking of mike peters, driver of the supercharged LS1 S13 from formula D. hinson helped with that car but their S14 that was posted here was done well before it.

nooooo please dont swap a v8 into y'alls rx7s haha. i was tempted to do that swap myself but at the end of the day its just wrong. the power is great and all and they perform well but you have to think about the fact that rx7s are special because they came with rotary engines. to take that away from the car is to take away the foundation by which their name was made famous. these cars would've never been what they are had mazda put a v8 in them from the factory. just my oppinion tho, dont take offense

Haha. Rx7's would have sold better with a v8 in them!!! LoL. THat's why my 1984 base model at my house is getting a 302 H.O. this year.

they might have sold better maybe, but they wouldnt be what the are today had they put a v8 in them. also, do you realy think you would want mazda building a v8 engine? lol. maybe now, but not back then. it would've been a disaster. i dont care who you are, if you dont see how different and amazing a rotary engine is, you're a moron. even most guys that are all about v8 hp, will admit that the rotary engine is an amazing thing. why do you think they outlawed rotary power from lemans? cause they were fucking owning EVERYBODY. and when i say owning i mean they were like half track ahead of everybody after just a few laps. if thats not amazing, then i dont no what is. you can keep your v8's, i'll stick with my rotary. thanx
