I shot this today of an abandoned farm off Hwy 20 in Canton. Lighting was a pain but I think it tells a story just the same. Let me know what you think.

I like the idea behind the picture, but to me it looks like a regualar photo just put in black and white.

i'm gonna be honest. I don't really like it. not that i could do better or anything. It's just those trees kinda kill it. I love the lines created by the objects on the left and right, aswell as the lines made by the grass, but the trees are wild and crazy and throw it off some. objects on left and right created good solid shapes. but then the trees are there and throws that off too XD.

Yeah I was not really trying to hard with this one to create anything. I had the long lens on checking on something and decided to shoot it to see if it showed up.
Feedback is appreciated tho. :goodjob:

If you look real close you can see me laying in the grass.

The first one bothers me. They are two strong focal points but they are both cut off too much and pull the eye back and forth instead of leading the eye around the image. The second pic is stronger but still lacks a defined focal point. Its out of your hands but I think if the silo on the right and the bush in front of the house were gone it would be a great picture.

Thanks for the feedback. I just jumped out of the car with the long lens on to check it to make sure it was ok so it was not really thought out very well. I would reshoot it but the just parked some huge equipment right in front of it.
Boosted, it is about 4 miles from 575 heading toward cumming on the right. Sits at the top of the hill and there is pasture on both sides right after it (horse farm on the left). Now there are some of the backho's and stuff parked in front of it.

Thanks.
The picture is lacking and just not pleasing. And the picture doesn't really follow the rule of thirds for composition. The trees in the middle is distracting. And the black and white conversion looks off unless it's not supposed to be B&W.

It is a sepia tone, NO I was not really trying to get any special feel but more or less checking the 70-300 after cleaning it. ;)
