So last year I bought the A nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V , bought from Carmax with 18018 miles.

This past weekend i traded in the car for another vehicle.

I went to the website TOYOTA MALL OF GA (toyotamallofga.com)
To see how much they were selling the car for.

So I find the link along with the carfax info:
http://www.carfax.com/cfm/ccc_DisplayHistoryRpt.cfm?partner=AUL_0&vin=3N1AB51DX3L719263

Last register Miles was in VA, 69,693.. When I saw that my JAW dropped...

So now, I have no idea what to do. Toyota has not called me regarding this issue. I have all proper paper work from when I bought the car from CARMAX showing 18k miles.

Im thinking, toyota may call me and more then likely ask for the deal to be Terminated.

Now, On the other hand CARMAX will be screwed BIG TIME.

Now this could be a mistake by carfax, but man.. shit is weird.

Should I call toyota, wait.. Or what. I dont want to screw Toyota but I dont want to be screwed either.

Shit...

wait for them to contact you. If it is indeed a mistake...Carmax will be the one taking the biggest hit. They sold you a car with tampered mileage...you can etheir sue them for putting you thru all the trouble of MOG Toyota canceling your current deal, or have them just pay MOG Toyota the trade in price of your Nissan, and they will get the tampered car back.

id sue carmax for selling you a car with faulty milage because if it had more miles than what you paid for, you paid too much

if u still had it, or can view it, check teh drivers door, there has to be a sticker if the odometer has been changed by law. and dealers usually go by the odometer, not the sticker. it happened to me at SOG one time. odometer=15k mileage after the sticker=52k

My last few dealings with carmax were real shady.. but the deal is done with Toyota right?

Thats gotta be a typo. That means they drove 3400 miles a month for 17 months.

Don't worry man apparently the mileage entries get typoed a lot, usually it happens at the emission inspections.

I was looking at a car the other week that had this happen, and the dealer said it happens all the time

fuck carmax. i got my first car form there and they sold it to me with a bad motor. took it to a GM mechanic and they determined the car had been wrecked 2 times and the frame had not been fully fixed as well as the motor was not AT ALL ROAD WORTHY!! we ended up having a lawsuit against carmax and won(several lawyers later!!). we got our money back and a new car...so it worked out. dont let those fucks rip you off

Doesn't make sense...

70,000 miles in two years? It's possible, but the car would show huge amounts of wear. I've never seen the car in person but in pics it looked pretty clean...

I've never worked at a car dealer and I'm not sure of the GA laws but with each of my 12 or 13 cars I've traded in over the years I've had to sign a mileage statement that says "TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THIS MILEAGE IS CORRECT AND ACCURATE" meaning that provided I have no knowledge that the mileage is inaccurate, I am not responsible if it is not correct.

I once had a 84' Bronco II, with a crazy lift and completly rebuilt. It had an additional 100K miles on the truck that I didn't know about. You couldn't tell because the truck was completely rebuilt. The dealer that took the truck on trade tried to squash the deal after they found out and I held them to the Mileage Statement release...

I wouldn't call Toyota. Let them deal with it. I'm sure if it's a problem you will hear from them very soon.
