Tiger Racing just recsently installed a Throttle Body from Skunk2 in my GSR
but now the car is idleing at 1,500 rpms and sumtimes the throttle plate or butterfly sticks, so i have to tap the gas just to get going...the guy told me that thats normal and in about a week or so the computer will fix its self, and the idle will reset to normal conditions.
So wut do yall thing true or not?

no way, that's way too high. sounds like you have an intake leak. with your car at running temperature spray carbuerator cleaner all around where your throttle body connects to your intake manifold. if your idle drops while your doing this, then it's your throttle body gasket..

Your tb butterfly is controlled by the throttle cable, not the computer. So if that's what they told you is causing the sticking problem then I'd reccomend you taking your car elsewhere from now on. The best thing to do is fiddle with the throttle body while the car is off, it could possibly be your throttle cable not connected properly.

On another note, you can reset your computer yourself.. if it's obd 0 or 1.. just unhook the battery and remove the ECU Backup fuse (located under the hood for 15 minutes or so). Then replace, restart your car, and let it idle untill you've reached your typical operating temperature.

if it's OBD II, you can get the guys at Autozone to reset it for you for free...

check to make sure you have a slight deflection in the trottle cable of about an 1/8". if it may be hanging up the plate slightly...those do have a stiff spring and do stick a little when new.

check for vacuum leaks like was advised above. i'm assuming they only removed/replaced the throttle body, but if anything else was removed like manifold or iacv check to see if there are any leaks there too or if the iacv is plugged in.

check to see if the tps is calibrated correctly. if it's obd1 then pin d11 inside the ecu and ground somewhere near should yeild some where near .5 volts closed and 4.5 volts wot...do this with the key on and engine not running obviously.

obd2 does sort of correct itself, but probably not this issue...mostly on fuel trims, etc. disconnect the neg terminal for a couple min just to see if you can clear out the memory, but that's probably not it.

good luck.

now the tb IS NOT STICKING THAT much anymore so im thinking that its so new that it needs time to break in
