chip FTW... just get a 4$ solder gun and its easy to do if u know how to read and follow instructions

which chip is the question. lol most legit places are sold out of everything matrix inphinity has good reviews. just wonder if anyone on IA has a modded ps2 and what chip they are using and the pro's and con's they have noticied with the chip

i think u have to find out your PS2 version number thing before u buy a chip.. most online stores tell you what you need

just get the latest version of swap magicand e done with it. because if you open the playstation you will void the company warranty. remember ifyou call customer service about your playstation it takes up to four months for the process of sending it to them and getting it back.

swap magic doesn't tear up your laser... but it puts wear and tear on the dvd driver motors/servos....
but it is true that some slimline PS2 lasers will die if you play a lot of copies on them

I use Swap Magic and have no problems.
