I thought this was really interesting. You may have herad/read about it but this is a ladys story of her experiences driving through the land that is radiation soaked. She managed to get through it with her geiger couter and not stay in places too long where the radiation was too bad. Check it out...

i visited that website when i had to study the human impact on the environment in my ap environmental science class some weird stuff

down on the Savanna River the "Power Plant" has some interesting animals living on the reserve and i heard the dead ones are more interesting based on size and mutations. but the goverment will never talk about what is happening here.

Thanks guys. I found this really interesting. Glad you all did too! It is still like that to this day. You can actually look up the coordinates (sp) on google earth and see the main reactor and the desolate land around it... It will be another 400-800 years before it will be liveable by humans. Crazy stuff.

i believe it's now the Ukraine but at the time was still considered the USSR.

ive gone back and read it 2 more times now.. its very interesting to me.. its like digging up a time capsule but riding through it instead.
