been playing percussion for 15 years now...drums for 11 and piano for 4 (yes the piano is a percussion instrument)...made all-state band 5 out of 6 years (like allstars but for band nerds), marched center snare (yes i was in drumline, aka marching band) as a freshman, sophomore and junior (quit my senior year, VERY rare to see a freshman on center snare)...i put drums on the poll but i guess it's really all percussion in general.

^ what kind of kit you play chuck? i'm alittle rusty i stoped playing about 3 years ago when i stopped booking shows, but i've been playing since 8th grade. i'm looking for a new kit now that i have a house and practice space.

i've always like premier, i've got their astria 7 piece kit, axis double pedal and all zildjian a-custom cymbals...the kit is down in the pool house, i really don't get a chance to play it as often as i'd like but when i get a chance to play i just love it...

^ you have a pool house??? wtf

i've always used pearl my first kit was an export, my last was a 60's classic malple gold wrap w/ flake, almost mint condition, 4pc w/ matching snare. i sold it to the drummer from KISS, (funny story)

So i have the set for sale on ebay and this guy emails me for my phone #, said he had questions, he calls procedes to tell me he is representing a friend who is a famous musician. i'm like ok whatever, so the guy conviences me to close the auction and he'll send me what i want for the kit. sure enough i recieve a check and a phone call that night from Eric Singer (not original kiss but through the 90s & current). I talked to that guy for about 1.5 hour on the phone. Was pretty cool. He is completely sponsored by Pearl but wanted my vintage kit for some club gigs. :goodjob:

dude that's awesome...i like those vintage kits too. you should have asked for some free tickets too, haha.
yeah, granny lives in the pool house, she can barely hear but the drums "scare the dogs" so i can never really play when she is in the house...if you get you another kit let me know if you want to rock out one day, you have each kit bass drum to bass drum and you both play along to the same music...kinda fun...kinda loud too, lol

I've played guitar for 6 years, drums for 12 years, and I've been singing since I was 3 years old. I must say....Ladies love a guy that can sing and play guitar for them. Hahah BIG BONUS POINTS
