Nice. Shit is fast. If i had an rx anything i dont think i would do anyswap unless it was another rotory cuse rx stands for something (rotory experimentle) yeah i know i cant spell but whatever. Yeah i think it takes away from the roots of the car but hell it is fast and i respect nice work when i see it and that was a nice car. I can bet it is more reliable then an rotory also. HAHA

Well it is more reliable then a rotory, I would do this swap. Nice clean looking RX7 with some balls.. Nothing wrong with it.. Some people are going to hate cause it isn't a import engine..

I am not hating on the car. I like the car. All i was saying is that the name of the car really has no meaning now. Yes it is faster more reliable. Like i said the rx means rotory experimentle. Thats like buting an rb into a car thats called a 2jz ya know. I like it other wise and it is different.

I hear ya... I could care less about the meaing of the car.. I'm looking for something light and fast.. Oh it will have a clean look to it also. Look at all the old 32 FORDS that get chevy engines its been going on for years..

I've got to disagree. I've own lots of American V8s, and lots of rotarys. The rotarys have always been more reliable. My Mustang is broke again, but my FD is running strong still. And I put a lot more miles on my FD.
If you know what you are doing with a rotary, they are reliable. Too many people crank up the boost without any reliability upgrades. With any car, you take a risk when you go for more performance withoput allowing room for error.

Thats your problem you had a mustang...lol I had no problems with my LS1.. You have to know what your doing when you add preformance stuff..

Oh I agree. I didn't add any performance stuff yet to the Mustang. The previous owner only added on a couple of bolt-ons - and they were done correctly at a well-known shop. The car has 40k on it and has a minor intermittent problem (nothing major though). It will get fixed next week.

I've had several Chevy growing up. My truck (500k miles) has been through 3 blocks, 4 sets of heads, 2 trannys, 3 rear ends, etc. It's sitting with a hole in the block right now. And my Impala needs a new carb also (so not running right now). Of course, I abuse them like I do all of my vehicles. :-)
BTW - I do like LS1s. Nothing against them.

My viewpoint is that most cars are dependable - if you leave them stock. Usually idiots mod them and try to cut corners, when they have problems, they blame the car.
