i think the 89-91 si or ex. ive seen a pretty fast 1.5l turbo crx but i doubt its worth it.

VTEC-E (economy) from the 92-95 Civic VX. It comes with an oil cooler from the factory, aluminum alternator bracket, and the flywheel is 3lbs lighter...disadvantage, 92hp.

What do you plan putting this in?

94 civic dx. it'll be a lot better than the 1.5l i have in it now.
and i don't really see many people build single cams, so i wanted to go this route. cause if i can keep up with a ls/vtec or something, i'll be happy. well, if i can get it to run a 12s 1/4 then i'll be done with it. even though its gonna take some work.
92 hp? doesn't surprise me, its a d15. they don't make a lot of hp.

turbo'd-out...maybe nitrous too. i've heard that the fastest d-series motor built ran like a 10.23s 1/4 mile. but i do want a SOHC that will run 12's. this is only a project and i plan on workin with it for a couple of years. not something i come rollin out with in a few months or anything.
