I think we are pretty advance for all that shit.. When we go grocery shopping theres always an idiot writting a check slowing the lines down.
WTF, debit,credit, cash... takes seconds.
I only use personal checks for bills and shit when I can write them in the comfort of my home...
end rant.

working in retail you see some crazy people. we always have people that write checks when there already is a line and then for some reason the check is "declined" so i have to call it in, taking more time. just swipe a card and go on your way. we had one guy write a check for like $2.30 once! i mean come on! i know you got that much change

Yea. I only write checks for bills because you cant pay a lot of bills with a CC/Debit card. [Cant pay a MC bill with a Visa]. Its not worth it to me. Some people just count on it not clearing until they make a deposit.

Ya that shit is annoying.. I think the last check I wrote was a year and a half ago, and that was for my payment to dell... My mom used to always do that, pay with checks in grocery stores, and then she finally switched to debit cards.. Much easier.

Working at kroger i've seen some dumber shit than that even. One time a dude wrote a check for a .25 cent stick of gum. Now ok i might be able to understand just getting the gum, writing a check, and then writing it for over to get some cash back. But this idiot doesnt even do that, its like i would've given you a goddamn quarter just so you wouldnt waste my time =\.

Some businesses dont take cards, we get charged a shitload, some are well over 3%.
At our Dry Cleaners thats precisely why we refuse cards, thats like at least 6% of your net profit gone if you do that. But we were lucky, a lot of the time they would just give Cash. I think only about 35% of revenue was from checks.

I know a couple peeps that don't even have ATM cards. They have to go to the bank, and withdraw money from a teller to get cash. WTF??

The only reason I would write a check is a if I bought something from someone and wasnt sure if it was going to work or not, and it was atleast $50 or more, so if the shit doesnt work, I can always call the bank and stop payment on that check.
Other than that pay your bills online biatches...

well, i use my checks for bills - but i do know that when i had to have my debit card replaced (it was worn) that they had to cancel the card and issue a new one which took 7 weeks - therefore you have no debit card for 7 weeks and I just used checks. i hate carrying cash around.
