Where do you work currently? Ive been with Bellsouth for about 3 years (working for them anyways). Ive never changed to a different company. I do Contract research for the mid-market offices over at Lake Blvd.
Just ask your Spherion manager if there are any positions open.

its some gay thing pepboys has in place that is meant to ruin your life at work and keep a car in teh shop an extra hour....we have a co worker check the drain plug and oil filter after we change oil...after taking wheels off they must check the lugnut torque(understandable) must start from RF to RR to LR to LF in taht order...There is a post that holds the workorder behind the car and your buddy takes the paperwork out of it and checks that he has buddied your car and only he can remvoed that post from out behind your car before you pull out. then he goes out into the parking lot and guides you out of the bay as you pull out. Must wear safety goggles at all times in the shop (i can understand at some points, but u try wearing those bulky mother fuckers all day while they fall off ur face, plus i wear glasses), and safety back belts... im thankful that i am quitting in a month
gijeff1805
04-27-2006, 12:15 PM
im pretty sure i forgot alot of things becuase i rarely use the buddy system....but lets just say i can do an oil change in and out in 15 minutes...thats waiting on parts and all paperwork done and what not...wiht buddy system it would take 30 to 45 mins

I will respectfully disagree. A family member has been an AA for the last shitload years. I remember the first time I heard her title being Admin. Assist. and I asked what type position that was, and she told me it was just a professional sounding way to title a secretary. Now I do know that the duties of a AA/Sec. will and do vary in each company. Later, QD.

I'm never one to judge a book by its cover but I never would have guessed you worked for the department of defense.
LOL. I like to keep 'em guessing. Before moving back here I worked at Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs) for NORAD (Dept of Homeland Defense) as a C2, C4. and C4i (not exlposives... LOL) UNIX Engineer. We basically used satellites for VERY bad things all in the name of securing the nation. Before that I was a C2 UNIX Engineer in the Air Force for 4 years, and the 4 years prior to that I was a CDMT on the US Air Force E-3 Sentry AWACS "surveillance" aircraft. I am still a Dept. of Defense employee, but only as a contractor now ($$). I am no longer in the Air Force. I try not to look like the "typical" geek when I am not @ work, but it's a VERY decent gig. Not something I want to do forever though. I hold a Top Secret SCI security clearance, and there are just some things that I get briefed on that I'd rather not know. And also when I look around, I see a lotta 50 year old DIVORCED men/women who have given their lives and their wives & hubbies to an organization (DoD) that is incapable of appreciating the sacrifice. I do not plan on being one of those divorcees when I am that age... I will cut and run b4 I let it consume my life.
