Okay, I'm trying to be a good son and find something for my father to drive to wrk and seeing how his Oldsmobile -FINALLY- died.

I asked him how much he wanted to spend and he told me 2000 or less. Preferably something like a Honda or a Nissan would be great, but then again I'll send all offers his way, so I'll pretty much entertain anything that'll get the job done.

I figured I would come on here because well, why not?

Thanks in advance.

Ha ha! Yeah everyone wants a good looking car, that is cheap on gas, has less than 100K miles, never been wrecked, etc for $2000.

Its not going to happen.

I think the best bet for $2000 would be to look at autotrader.com for a 88-91 civic. Anything newer will be beat to shit, or already have 200K+ miles on it. You might find something else for $2000, but I don't know how long it would last.

^ he just might, but with $2000 you can't expect it to be perfect.

Just trying to keep him realistic

Your right, what I should of said is don't expect 90% of cars that are $2000 or less to have a perfect carfax record.

I'm not. This isn't for me, it's for my Pops and he's pretty realistic. He's not looking for something brand new or he would've bought something brand new. He's just looking for something decent that will last a lil' bit to get him to work.
