So, how are all the Subies coming along? What are you doing, where are you going, and how do they look?
My update:
The graphics are 85% complete. The hood and front bumper need to be painted next week, and we're going to have to do some more aggressive body modification to make sure these wheels fit ok when the suspension's loaded. Both extra sets of wheels have to be painted too, but I don't know exactly when that's gonna happen. After all is painted, I'll get the last graphics cut and pictures of the car posted up (thanks Chris!).
My exhaust keeps fucking up, so the car will be sitting over at Lord's shop for a week or so to get everything ironed out.
I've got a set of Prodrive Pro seats on the way (hopefully here in a week and a half). If I'm lucky, my harness bar will be here by Tuesday of this upcoming week so I can get the car over to the powder coater to get my calipers and the bar done. Once all is done, I'll post up pics of that too.
There's lots more, but that's all secret stuff! :king:
So, what's going on with those cars, guys?!

Looks plain, doesn't run due to broken tranny. I have a new tranny on the way with JDM STI RA Ver. 6 gears and stiffened case. Hopefully I get it next week and swap it in when I have time. I really want to get to the track since I haven't had a chance to run yet this year.

Car runs great, looks ok.
I'm about to drop some serious coin on it as well as a track car and a new street car.
The wrx is getting a new motor soon, as soon as we have the new motor on the stand we are going to really crank up the boost on the stock block.
Im also looking for a good deal on a 6speed if you know anyone.
Yeah its on.

Thats right, Because, THATS HOW WE DO!
We have some new plans for the wrx, new motor should be done in a few weeks. Lets just say its going to be very fast.
Now as soon as I can find a 2 door 93-01 impreza then we will start the new project. This one is going to be the fun one. The Subaru community is not ready, they cant handle this car.
The new street car is on hold until we finish the new house and GARAGE, but right now I'm leaning towards something along the lines of Supra, Corvette TT, 96 Viper.
Not really sure yet.

After I build a really fast and powerful 9 second STi (with Dan and Matt's help) , I think my next project will be......engine swap, turbo charge Lotus Elise.

No, really.... he doesn't know anything about Subarus. :lmfao: Haven't you seen the ownage on Nasioc? He knows nothing! Nothing at all! Some dude named crazyhorse said so!
In all seriousness, you guys are going to have a blast! I'm sure I'll be up there at some point during the building stage, so I look forward to putting a face with the name Jason.

Dan said that we can do that bar that we talked about in like 15 min.

Currently piecing together a STI swap for my 00 Coupe. 12,000 is a lot of money. I've got tein coilovers on the way and some braces and bars so I can control the damn thing once it goes in. And I've got new 17 x 8 rota's and 225/45/17 Azenis on the way. That should allow me to grip the road. Swap won't be ready for quite a while due to lack of funds. But hopefully by next year you guys will see a brand new face at the tracks!
Props to all the "real" STI's out there hehe

That's awesome guys. Keep the updates coming!
Hey Tracy, that sounds great. We'll get all that stuff squared away once the last of the paint work is done. I will need Dan's help next week when the seats come in. Do you think he'll have time to fab me up some brackets to go along with the sliders that "Mumbles" is hooking me up with? Thanks girl!

Actually I do. LoL You may not believe me but its possible with a really built engine. Yeah I'll have to spray and run over 40psi....but it will happen. I can promise you that.

This one is going to be a track car for Jeremy and Myself, and a select group of friends. I think we are going to keep it pretty basic. I think we are going to gut it, cage it and put a small turbo on it.
300hp 2100lbs, fast as hell.

I should have it together in a week or two.

Let the crazyness begin.
Who said Tomei Solid lifter cams spinning to 8500rpms, 1 Giant Show Polished Front Mount , (redneck voice)Its gonna be one real purrty race kar.
I'm going back to drop the Subaru motor and the SR20 head off next week. We still havent decided what we are doing on the subaru motor, its either going to be a built 2.2, 2.4 or the big dog 2.8. Right now I'm leaning towards a high reving 2.2 or 2.4 with some really nasty cams. 500hp will be enough hp for the wrx on the street. If we want to drive something fast we can always pull out the mustang.
I'm looking for another EJ22T so if anyone happens to spy one let me know.

My update really isnt anything.
Car is still in pieces up at SOG where it has been for about 4-5 months while I've been searching for parts so I wont have to pay out the ass for OEM new stuff.
Car was an automatic, blew it up, STI ver5 5speed going in (4.44 final drive) with a 12lb STI flywheel and Exedy organic clutch. Ordering a new bulkhead wiring harness next week and hopefully should have the car back soon thereafter.
Mods: APS TMIC, unichip, VF29, Vishnu UP, APS TBE w/cat, STI injectors, fuel pump, APS CAI.
I've got a sedan rear sway bar, STI hood scoop, and Alpine Ipod hookup waiting to be installed when I get the car back. Next will probably be springs, I'm thinking STI wagon pinks or Prodrives.
http://photofrog.inkfrog.com/pix/WJM/DSCF4107.JPG
Finally got some time to clean it up from the ground up. Still need to work on some paint issues on the passenger side, and a few teeny rust spots under the rear bumper.
Made a major mod yesterday...the rear suspension on these cars are sealed...no adjustment points at all. NONE. I fabbed up some adjustable parts...and now the car rotates quite well...aka Turn steering wheel=RX is sideways.
Steering rack bushings installed and I did some porting-polish work on some post turbo-pre throttle body intake peices.
Mod list:
TWE Header
TWE Downpipe
Deadbolt VF7
USDM V8 STi TMIC
350 F/450 R springs on KYB's
MRT camber/castor plates up front
Greddy EBC
and some tib bits here and there...
