Looking to have rods measured, honed, hot-tanked, and balanced, and any other suggestions you have for a bottom end. I've heard ideas about decking, but I'm not sure I wanna do it...probably half because I'm not certain what decking is...feel free to advise, to the best of my knowledge it's shaving to the top of the bottom end.

Also, looking to have the head done after the bottom end is done (going piece by piece due to slow money). Looking to have it shaved, ported, polished, and anything else that might be advised.

a good goal for an all motor LS would be 170whp.

anything over that is on the edge of streetability. the only engine i know thats over 180whp was a motor that DFE Enterprises did. It was a 85mm 13.6:1 motor with a crazy head (thats now on ILOVEBOOSTS turbo motor) crower 405s, crower doesnt even sell them anymore.

it made 250BHP on an engine dyno which is around 215-220whp

that was a 10K motor

We do machining an balancing, not in house, but we use a macine shop that does work to our specs.

Hmm...seems a 200whp goal may be a tad high. It was a nice dream; damn you for slapping me with realistic dreams...

Really, I just wanna make the EF hatch fast as shit and do it with an all motor LS motor. Once I get tired, I'll probably lose the head, and change it to LSVTEC. If I'm not mistaken I'll be able to pull more power that way than with an LS. I don't like the idea of forced induction, nor the maintenance. That's why I stick to NA.
