I wish I knew more of the Supra people in this area.. I have seen a Imperial Jade mkiv at the Mall pass me in my supra a couple of times.. I always flash my brights or wave at it when I see it... Thats the only one I have come across though in this area... I always did like the look of a group of Mkiv's running together.. such a beautiful site...

Umm not really! At first you think they are priced high, but then you go back and think about what the motor is capable of while it is stock internally, its not the cars that are slow at the drag strip, its the drivers, same goes for Vipers, vettes, and so on!
I ran 12's when my car was pretty much stock, unlike some other owners that cant hit 12's with over 500hp
I hit 11.2 at 416rwhp last year at steele and dyno'd the night before at AAP so ask them.

If you see one on the road, you will turn your head wether it be stock or all out drag car. the stock six speed with no mods has seen 8.6 sec passes at 177mph and a 1.3 60ft and over 1400hp numerous times! the drivetrain can hold so much the motor can hold so much, I have seen 8 sec supras drive to a track run and then drive home, so I dont know where your statment comes from!

well i have seen more supra's than alltracs

fastest alltrac was running 9 something down in flordia, had the vid somewhere online and nuthing but traction baby!!

stroker kit, fully built, aftermarket everything basically and you could beat a supra in the quarter, but not without alot of money in that bad boy!

i would like to have my alltrac, mr2 turbo t-tops and supra TT t-tops, all manual all fun!

none taken. so they are fast when you put a shit ton of money in them, big deal...haha i could put the same amount into a T/A (ls1) and trounce a supra (whether its drag, road course, highway etc). doesnt mean i want or even like Trans Am's. i believe he has a pretty rare bird in his hands and should hold onto it. id much rather have a GT-four, so there is no Jealously here. i actually believe it or not, turned down the trade of my legacy SS for a super clean 91 :gay: and bought a MKI MR2 instead :D couldnt have been happier

Like what are you think a ton of money is? Of course the Supra is gonna be more pricey then the T/A staight out, but you can get a supra in the 11's with about $1000 not counting tires! Boost controller, downpipe, intake, exhaust, Boost cut controller, and fuel cut defencer, would get you in the 11's, with of course the right driver. Its been a battle and will always be a battle about Supras, so everyone has there own opinion.....

T/A's can do 11's NA with bolt-ons homeboy. have a friend with a 02 WS6 with headerback exhaust, GM hot cam, SLP intake, ECU reflash and he ran an 11.87 w/ slicks. he now has a 150 shot and extensive head work, he has yet to run it, im sure he would be in the mid-low 11's easy. i have nothing against supras, but to say im "jealous" is the overstatement of the year lolz

I didnt say a T/A could not hit 11's easily, just saying that I spent $700 on my BPU(Basic upgrades) setup, and ran 12.4 with street tires on it, and it was a 6psd, an auto would of broke 11's with no problem, and has been done numorus times... With the Boltons you listed seems like off the top of my head it would be close to $2000+ for parts and labor
I just think its weird that you try and put down supras and all, when they are well built cars!
Saying there over rated is pretty funnay!

I could build a 10sec supra for right at $20,000 car and all. I know you could build any 10sec car cheaper, just showing that it doesnt take to much to have a quick supra!

Hey no offence and none taking! Everyone does have there own opinion, I love all cars except for Miatas and thats my opinion!

Mostly the owners, its for sure a different breed of people... I goto Fontana, the last weekend of July every year, for a big reuion and thats when the Miatas gather there as well for there big shindig/Dragon run's and it seems like every single one of them have something to say or they are holy'er then thowe.
But then again thats my opinion

thats a pretty big generalization, and can be thrown at any manufacturers followers. i mean ive heard tons of bad things of the ego's of supra owners, but i have yet to meet one that fits that bill. they have all been great ppl. i also know TONS of miata ppl that r some of my best friends. i also deal with assholes all the time that give clubs/car makes/etc bad names....but those r individuals. IDK what problems they gave you but it must have been pretty bad to single out them as miata owners as all bad guys

Well its just an inside joke with me and my friends, I know there is some good guys out there that drive them(miatas) but there is a lot out there that have issues!
Same with any car guy, fo sho!


Thanks for the complement on the car, I have been to Hell and back with it and the first builder on it Which screwed me over, His name needs to be taken off my page, and I dont want anything to do with him!
