Set the rev limiter higher but if it's stock internals that's not really good for the engine so get good internals too.

You do not have to boost it. I think the better question you should ask yourself is what are your HP goals (that's a better question). Also ask yourself what are you 1/4 mile goes (if you have any) then use the calculator to see what HP you would need to reach that ET. Do you wanna spin a h22 to 8k just b/c u want to? DETAILS MOFO!!! LOL. There are revs, and then there are USABLE revs... there's a difference.

add an INTAKE, LOL

valve train, cams, headers, and a good tune.

if you're stock, just rev it tup 7500rpm.. its good enough.

Well it depends. See, if its in a 97-01 prelude you can already rev to about 8200rpms. THats just what is happening visually. The ecu actually has a different reading. its more like 7650rpms. A h22 head (valves, valve springs etc) are good to rev all the way up to 8500rpms if your going by ecu without having any problems.

If you just want to rev to 8k, then buy a fifth gen prelude.
If you want to make power at 8k, buy type-s cams.

All Honda ECUs read diff than the dial. They figure in about 1k for idiots like me who will push the limits. :)
