pleasantdale QT is usually cheap too
I am to a point where I top my car off at the end of every day, that way, it doesnt hit my pocket as bad and I can at least get gas for the lower prices while I can until it skyrockets. rather do that then fill up at the end of the week and prices have gone up .30 a gallon.

I really wish the gas prices would go down....
Did anyone hear about what happened in Lumpkin County, a car ran into the back of a tanker trucker, while the truck was filling up the gas at a gas station? Fucking idiot....no serious injuries is reported as of yet!
i dont think it will go down for a LOOOOOONG time, if anything go up, was talkin to dad yesterday and he was estimating that the shits gunna go up to probably 4 by juneThat wouldn't surprise me at all. You would think that with oil/gasoline being such a necessary commodity for the functionality of our country and lifestyles, that the the government would regulate the prices. As it stands right now, the way oil companies are gouging us is insane.
Gotta love a speculative market.

It will slowly go up as long as they are making more profit each month. There is a certain price that it will reach where it will hurt the oil companies profit. For example: Lets say they sell 1 million gallons a day (nice round # for this example), and we pay $3 a gallon. Thats $3 million total sales.
Next week its $4 a gallon, some people conserve, and they sell only 900,000 gallons a day. They now have 3.6 million in sales, and have saved money not transporting the other 100,000 gallons. But if it was $10 a gallon, and they only sold 200,000 gallons they've only made 2 million in sales.
Obviously the #'s are much larger in real life, but the point is they are going to test the market to make the highest profit (especially if they can sell less oil while doing it). If we can still afford gas, and consume close to what we were before then they would be stupid to cut the price. So it all depends on us, and how much we are willing to consume/pay. They are searching for that fine line of maximized profit. And that happens to be right between hurting, and absolutely not being able to afford it.

dont know if its true or not, but i heard on the news last week that it will continue to rise throughout the summer, but prices will take a nosedive after that, possibly falling to under $2 a gallon by fall.

we shall see, Ms. Cleo
I'm just saying that I'm pretty sure gas prices will never see less that $2 ever again. The prices will go up over Summer just like they always do, but I wouldn't expect to see them come down very much. I'm sure that we'll be around the $3 range even after the Summer hike, if not higher.
Also, anyone ever notice the following trends:
It's Summer! Gas Prices are gonna go up!
It's the Christmas Season! Gas Prices are gonna go up!
It's Memorial Day Weekend! Gas Prices are gonna go up!
Great, so when the f*ck do they come back down?!

$100/barrel of crude is definitely not out of the question this summer. and no prices will never go back to the way it was before, i mean if anything, we're finally catching up to the rest of the world on how much gas is.

no cause there is more than one company, but you would think that one company woiuld drop their prices say 25 cents lower than the rest to pull in business and hurt the rest of the companys and force them to drop their prices.

not to mention that many big companies in all areas of the economy have sessions where they sit down and pretty much agree to price fix (of course it's not "technically" that or not done as so it would be illegal, but it still gets the job done).

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work
This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. It ' s worth your consideration.
Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by next summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea.
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by r! efusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.
BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work. Please read on and join with us! By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently $2.89 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the
marketplace..... not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.
Here's the idea:
For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people.
I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us sends it to at least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 =3D 3,000)...and so on, by the time the messag e reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE
>>>>HUNDRED MILLION >>>>PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all. (If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you h! ave to do is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician. But I am, so trust me on this one.)
How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!
I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you?
Acting together we can make a difference. If this m! akes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN.
THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

Haha. I did that shit back last year when the prices hit like 6 bucks a gallon. I looked outside and the cars where lined up trying to get gas. i already knew it would be cheap again the next day, so I took a chance. I siphoned all the gas out of my car and what I could find, then when down there and sold it all for 5 bucks a gallon. Lol. I had about 20 gallons because i used the lawn mower gas and stuff too. Awesome shit, then 2 days later. i went filled back up for right under 3 bucks a gallon. hell, it was a quick 40 bucks profit.

Guys, just so you know, if you consider inflation and how gas prices were in the past, we are right about where we are supposed to be. Gas prices were technically too low in the past and now they are finally coming up to the levels they are supposed to be at, so get used to it.
