Pretty sure it was two seconds. Some shots I had it set for 8, but when it struck it blew everything out and was extremely overexposed.

Yeah, I definatly hear that. Thing that sucks though is that there are no street lights in the culdesac where I live, so I just had to set the focus manually ( cause it couldnt get a lock on) and pan out wide in hopes Id capture anything :lmao:

I wonder if you would have put it on manual, cranked the Aperature up to say 16-20 and set the shutter at 8 how it would have turned out. What was the Aper. on that shot?

I may have to try it one day and crank the aper up and set the shutter for 5-8 secs and see how it comes out.

So did you go inside to change your pants after it hit :lmao:

Oh yes! My ass was in the garage the whole time though. Imagine me getting struck by lighting while standing near my tripod lol

:goodjob: For getting a god shot! I tried all last night to capture it. All of mine came out overexpsed.

I dunno... I'm imagining the shot w/out the tree and I think it will be "boring" w/out the tree. The tree adds a lil "flava" IMO.

Damn , that's wierd...at work the image looks darker. I could see the houses more on my monitor at home.
