mom got gas at shell when i was younger and her engine started pinging horribly.. they blamed it on bad gas so I've always had that stigma about them. but like i said, i'm not too worried about it... it all comes outta the same pipe and if somethin' fucks up, they pay for it I'd assume.

Yeah it think its all the same.....if your in Doraville you can see tankers of all different brands filling from the same "vat" (for lack of a better word).
QT because it has the best store.

I usually get gas from on post but if not racetrack or bp. Now days since I drive a dodge 1500 quad cab with a 5.9 I find the cheapest prices in town.

I usually pump my gas at Murphy USA right outside Walmart. You save 3 cents per gallon when you use your Walmart card.

anywhere off canton road in kennesaw near my mom's house. it's always cheaper than where i live. as for the brand, i have no favorite just as long it is 93 octane.
Racetrac because their name makes me feel fast.
Actually, I tend to hit QT whenever I can.

gasoline is federally mandated to meet certain requirements, so preety much the additives are more or less just bullshit to get you to come to their gas stations. in other words all gas is the same.

wouldnt the drill heat the metal and/or cause a spark when breaking through lol...therefore lighting the car and yourself on fire... I use a midget in my trunk that hops out when I am distracting the person next me at the pump. :) lol. Actually I don't really care as long as its cheap lol...but yea QT the most.

SCC did a comparison of the strongest gas (horsepower) outta the pumps. 1st was Amoco, and 2nd was Phillips 76. I do not check prices b/c it' somethin' that's not optional NEway, so I say fuck it.

Generally QT, once in a while BP. I've only ever filled up at qt or bp, and one time at shell. Otherwise never tried other stations.

I go where-ever the fuck im in front of when my low gas warning light turns on... Gas is gas.
Hektik
04-20-2006, 01:17 AM
well what about this would it be cheaper to fill up more often but fill with less gas like for instance every time u go fill up u only put a 1/4 or a 1/2 off the tank because theoretically ur car would be lighter when u drove around so it would waste less gas rather than driving with a full tank wich would make ur car heavier wich in turn would make it work that little bit more just to pull around those extra pounds of gasoline?
And if these is true does a lighter person save in gas compared to an obese person?:dunno:

I have tested this, and yes it's "cheaper", but it's more of a hassle too. I never put in more than 1/2 a tank unless I am going on a road trip.

i like shell the best. i saw this thing on dateline one time where they did a study on gasoline quality and shell came out on top in all the tests...

ive heard that if you let it drop below 1/4 on a regular its bad for your fuel pump...could be a myth..just what i heard

Not below 1/4 tank, but if you roll on e it's possible to pump trash through your injectors.
