With a good day/night's worth of practice, you should be running a lot better times. Take a trip to Steele, Al instead of Commerce and you'll get tons of runs in, in a day.


Oh, btw, you should feel lucky that you have a digital copy of your very first run at a drag race track... its something to cherish and look back on in the future. Everytime I'm around some ppl (like Val =]), I get reminded all the time 'bout my first run at a dragstrip... and coincidently, it was against a single-turbo automatic Supra making high 400whp.

I dyno'd 338.4rwhp on 15lbs of boost, with full BPU like I have now.. I should be close to or right at 400rwhp.. but since my compression is low im going to be very careful how I drive it for now on. I plan on taking a trip down to silver dollar at the end of next month and get more runs in. I only got one in at commerce that night. Karen, here's a tip... whenever I have a bad start before the 60f mark, I just shut down and cruise to the finish. I wouldnt even waste my gas on a full run if something goes wrong. If the first 60ft are perfect, then Ill keep on truckin, anything else Ill tap the breaks and slide on by. This not only saves you gas and keeps your engine temp down for a good run, but it could save you from an embarrassing moment like this when people might like to poke fun.

I was on 85 and merged onto 985 to avoid being in anymore bumper to bumper traffic and as I accelerated to about 45mph I hit overdrive and it didnt work.. so i tried it three more times.. still didnt work and my RPM's continued to go up. I pulled off to mall of ga and pulled into hi fis since I know someone who works there. Figured maybe it was just a fluke.. So I went in for a minute.. came back out and started the car again... I got onto 20 and tried it again....nothing. I got back onto 85 North and tried it once more.. no dice. So I was at about 80mph and 4100rpms... I tried the overdrive once more.. and it worked... this is just fucking great...

I got onto 20 and tried it again....nothing. I got back onto 85 North and tried it once more.. no dice. So I was at about 80mph and 4100rpms... I tried the overdrive once more.. and it worked... this is just fucking great...

Ren, why didnt u take me with you when bought that car! its a Supra, if it has minor problems when u get it, you dont want it. it better be running flawless or no go at all.

Everything seemed perfect when I bought the car... and I knew I wasnt going to just settle..but this one was just perfect. So I went with this one.. and I passed up the previous ones cause there was something about each one of them I didnt like.. I spent over a year making my final decision about my car... and now im begining to regret choosing so quick... I am going to be making a HUGE decision soon if its worth selling and buying another supra. I am going to weight out my pros and cons and total up how much it will cost to rebuild the engine and tranny (if needed). I have already put over 10K into this car since I bought it so...if its going to cost me more than 10K to do everything I want done.. Im going to just fix the rings (if indeed that is what it is) and Im going to sell her.

u should get away under 10k for a built motor. I did and i had to buy parts that i ddint expect to buy.

Ren-you said you'd have 400 hp and looking high 13's? I ran a 13.8 at 10pounds of boost with no posi. on street tires. And My car weight 3580lbs. I'm only making 317.5hp and 321ft. lbs. of tq.
