I am open to trades. I will also deliver the vehicle.

I have for sale a 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra. This is the last year to sport the venerable 5 Liter engine. 95,000 miles. New brakes.

The car is in excellent mechanical condition, with no modifications outside of the head unit and a K&N filter. The body has a few dents, the taillights are mismatched, and the paint is scratched. It has the everyday tear in the drivers side leather.

Outside of the the afformentioned cosmetic defects, this car is unmolested. It is a blast to drive, and an excellent platform to build on... especially for the price I'm asking.

Naw bro, I didn't see anything out of place. Lol. I think you priced it a little high but this is IA, so you know you will be offered less. Lol. Good luck man.

Thanks bro.

Actually, I take back the price thing. Listing it in fair condition on kbb, it came out at 5200 and you are still less than that. So, in that case, good price, just not my box of chocolates.

Thanks for looking it up. The market on this car is a funny one. They arent worlds apart from the GT's (interior, intake mani/TB, wheels, brakes)...

But they command a lot more cash. The cheapest SN95 (94-98) Cobra I could find on Autotrader was 7500. It was a quadcam car (97) with 135k.

Well, the biggest problem with this one it it's pretty beat dude.

From the bent wheel on the front, to the miscolored rear wheel, to the seats and carpet which are toast, to the tailights, to the paint issues...

I'd say your starting price is fair, or even a touch high.

And was this car by any chance smoked in?

savanna13

It comes down to what the new owner is going to want to do with the car.

If the body was perfect, and the paint was scratched like it is... the hypothetical owner would more than likely want to paint it. If the tailights are green and the roof has some dents... it's going to the body shop anyway. It'll cost a few more dollars for the bodywork, but it is still cheaper than buying a perfect car in the long run, not to mention initially.

The seats aren't likely to stay, as the majority of Mustang tuners concerned with seats understand that most all their seats are flat and generally worthless.

The carpet has some stains... but no tears. Most 11 year old carpet has
stains.

The wheels won't do anyway. Gotta have some 17x10 Bronze 5Zigen FN's. :D

And it's stock. Not ragged on... runs strong. OEM = Cash in this market.

Thanks for the interest!

Damn, that is one of the calmest most organized responses I have ever seen anyone give on IA in response to criticism. Lol. +1 for you bro.

price is actually pretty decent. though I agree with the guy a post up.

it does look like it might have been wrecked considering the rear bumper doesnt say "cobra" on it. We have a black/tan 94 cobra sitting in one of our garages so I know they have the cobra lettering on the rear bumper so dont try to tell me they didnt come with it like they didnt come with the snorkle hood like 96-98....

and yeah, that interior is beat to hell and back lol. Even the steering wheel rim has stains/fade on it and those are hard to come by. They look identical to GT wheels except on the type of stitching they have is different to simulate real leather and thus cobra specific. cobra enthusiasts will want to try to fix those seats though since they are specific to a cobra.

definitely need to see engine pics.

94-95 Cobra's do not have COBRA on the rear bumper. It simply says MUSTANG.
Both the V6 and Cobra in 94-95 said COBRA while the GT's had MUSTANG GT.

The only body difference in Cobra's during 94-95 was the front bumper, spoiler, and wheels. ALSO, 94 COBRA's did not have the Cobra Emblem in the grill.

The hood snares everyone is use to seeing did not appear until 96.

It's basically a fresh start for a 5.0 Cobra. For the price, the new owner will know to go ahead and start from the ground up, it's just a starting platform in it's current condition.

Well then,
A.) etheir your's has been in a wreck and was changed
B.) you didnt buy the car new, and previous owner changed it
C.) you changed the bumper
D.) it's not a 94-95 Cobra.

Not even the 95 Cobra R came with a bumper that said COBRA. Why wouldn't FORD put a COBRA bumper on it's specialty car? Granted the Cobra R is on a V6 platform, you'd think for the 45k they could attach a Cobra bumper? Well, it's because there was none.

call a SVT dealer and ask to speak with someone knowledgeable in the area. Or, shit....write a email to Jon Coletti...I'm sure he'll have the answer since he has access to every SVT vehicle ever made.

The car is certainly a Cobra. If you are interested in purchasing the vehicle, let me know and I'll send you the vin... AND a link to the Carfax, which is clean.

The car had been attacked by a loving ex girlfriend of the previous owner. Smashed the tailiights, cut up the bumper, etc. :goodjob: I'm not sure of what the bumper is supposed to read, but it reads "Mustang" now. Good thing that doesn't matter for the price I'm asking.

I am always open to trades. Let me know what you're interested in trading. We can work something out. By the way, I know Raleigh is a good ways from Atlanta. Good thing I deliver.

you may be right on that. we are second owners but there's no accident history in the carfax report. dude might have swapped it out but if he did he did it early in 96 since we bought it summer of 96

Chances are, it's been swapped. You can pick up a cheap rear COBRA bumper from the mustang salvage yard out in winder, and it's already painted to match.

If you post about a trade, please provide me with enough information to gauge interest.

Year, mileage, trim level, condition, modifications, etc.

I'm interested in hearing more about the Jeep and the Civic.

This would make one hell of a road racing car. I have to stop looking at the pics it is very tempting. Not only were the brakes/intake etc upgraded but this car has SVT suspension tuning and will run very well on the track. Not to menton spares (4.9 block, T-5 transmissions, etc are always around cheap).

4800 for a cobra is a killer price if it has a clean title...94-95 cobras had a rear bumper that said "mustang", and the only difference between it and a v6 bumper was the fact that the trim at the bottom was color matched....94-95 cobras also had the special cobra "talon" wing on the back.....other than that..it was a GT plus 25hp...94-95 cobras were rated at 240..but still had the killer pbr front brakes, and gt-40 heads and intake...and the cobra rear control arms, both upper and lower were far superior to the gt's...free bump
