last I heard, he got punked out by Joe Rogan.

It all got started when Wesley was claiming that he was a 5th degree black belt in Kung Fu (or something) and he can pretty much whip anyone's ass in hollywood. Well, Joe Rogan is a Tae Kwon Do black belt...and has a a couple US titles under his belt when he was younger and called out Mr. Snipes to a UFC style fight. Rogan also announces the UFC fights, so he knows a thing or two.


Snipes said some shit, but never backed it up and kinda just disappeared.

so that Fear Factor, UFC Annoucer, punked out Blade.

Snipes' belts are legit... I do know this much. Whether he has the underground "chin" for Rogan I dunno. As a 1st degree in JKD I can assure you that you do NOT want to be on the bad side of Snipes though... seriously. Do not confuse movie martial arts w/ the real deal.

That's pretty much the exact same thing Rogan said to Snipes

"there's a huge difference between hollywood martial arts, and the real thing"

Snipe's belts might be in fact real, but if he's a 5th degree like he was claiming then he'd have no time taking down Rogan. So, I dont know what's up. He should have never put a claim that he could whoop anyones ass in hollywood then.

I know the school (well, I know some people that are familiar w/ the school) where Snipes trained. He is just as competent as any1 else in martial arts. However, being able to absorb strikes to the level of an underground fighter is another thing. I am unsure if that "movie face" was preserved during his training... meaning they went 1/2 speed or 1/2 power durin striking. Either way, I'd bet that he has taken PLENTY of blows in his transition to 5th degree. But w/out any circuit training and full-contact competing (that I am aware of) I think it'd be hard for to take some serious strikes underground. But ALSO as a 5th degree he may not NEED to, if you see what I mean. I can see Snipes' agent not allowing a REAL brawl to go down... his acting career would def take the toll, and all for a lil "ego". At the end, Snipes' has more to lose than Rogan. But I would def like to see it go down... I think it would be more interesting than you think. :)
