I am gettin me dakota bagged right now and the guy doin it called me last night and said he had some good news and some bad news. The good news was that he was done except for runnin the wire for the switch box. The bad news is that my wheels will hit the bed whenever I go to drop it. That is fuckin bullshit, I spent a long time lookin for wheels for my truck and I find some I like and get a good deal on them and then it don't work. This fuckin pisses me off. Now I have to try to sell the ones I have and have to find me some new ones. The guy said i could shorten the axle but it would be more than it is worth. He said it would have to be shortened about an inch and a half. Not sure if he meant on both sides or in all. This is fuckin gay.

The front will work cause once I drop it then the top of the wheel will lean in and not hit the fenders.

It is so hard to find wheels for a dakota cause they are 6 lug. The guy doin the truck runs a tire shop so he said he could probably hunt me down some. I got 18's right now I am tryin to decide if I want to get 18's again or go with 20's. I know I can sell my wheels for more than I paid.

Find out what it's rubbing first... if its just catching the edge of your rear fenders you might be able to jsut roll them a little... if its rubbing your tires, maybe you need smaller tires in the back...

Who knows. I dont know what your set up is or the offset on your wheels, but I hope you work it out

I ain't seen it yet but he said that they barely stick out and will hit the bed when I go to drop it and since I have 1/2" it will be goin down fast he said it will fuck up my bed. I know the tires ain't to big cause my stock tires are 254's and the ones on the wheels are 225's. If I had my tanks and compressors under the bed on the frame I would just take the bed off but I have them in the bed.

the guy said that with the way they got the bags on that it will look like it has around a 3"-4" drop on it so that may be good enough for right now until I can figure somethin out then i can drop it and be layin frame.

I hate doin shit to vehicles. I didn't have good luck with my integra so i sold it. Now I am doin my truck and this comes up and also the tranny is messin up so i can't do everything i want to do cause i have to get that rebuilt

im with everyone else man.. just roll the fuk outta the fenders man! a baseball bat to the inside of them and youll be fine.. you should be able to get the clearence you need out of a roll!

oh ya.. go with 20's when you can man.. 20's are the new 17's so you gotta go with them at least man.. GOOD luck with everything

I am supposed to be goin to get the truck tonight so I will just have to see how bad it is before I decide on anything. I just want to be able to lay frame damnit. I bought my bag kit at the first of march and just now am gettin it on so I have been waitin a long time.

I just talked to my mom and she said that if I have to buy new wheels then she will let me use her credit card and just make payments on the wheels so I may end up gettin 20's

its a 3-4" drop when it is raised all the way up but now I have new bags in the back so it is about to stock hieght now. When it is down it lays frame in the back and has about half an inch in the front. I just have to get drop spindles for the front

from what i've seen and heard... you can either cut out your fender wells or you can put the factory 17's (the R/T wheels) on your truck.. I personally like those, but they are stock... good luck.. I know about 7 people with bagged dakotas and they've done one or the other... Also, make sure it's set up right, I've seen sooo many of those bags bust.

I am goin to cut my fender wells out whenever I get some 20's cause they will rub and I don't have an R/T. I wish I did.
