What are the pros and cons of removing the balance shaft? i drive a 1996 eagle talon tsi.

Smoother oil delivery and some other crap. I know that when you removed the balance shafts from the Sentra Spec V you gained around 7-8 WHP. I don't know what the DSM would gain. Nasty operation that requires to cut a chain tho. So if you're gonna do it, then there's no going back.
