dtryme came to silver dollar with us.. friends with vuong, hugo, phong....

he definitely has more power than me... our 1st run i pulled him and then he mis-shifted... 2nd run.. he pulled a little and then i misshifted. 3rd run, we tried a 65 mph run vs 40mph in the first 2... pretty even again and then he shifted into 4th and bye bye. he was also spinning alot in the lower gears which is why i was able to pull a little for a short time.. haha..

it was a 60-65 kick, coming back from commerce....don't know how high dan went from plus don't forget he was .2 secs slower because of the camera man so that may have made a difference you guys should've a done the runs with you in both cars to even the playing fields

Personally I do not ask for re-runs unless I change something significant in my setup. I think it's a disrespect to the art to ask for a re-run (under the exact same conditions). If I gotta boost leak, I simply do NOT run. I won't run, and then say "I had a leak". Neither do I make excuses BEFORE the run, like show up asking if some1 has a laptop... u can use that as a "safety" later if you lose and say "yeah, every1 knew I needed that 9/16th wrench ahead of time". I am either 100% or I do not run. I get less runs this way, but I also get bigger kills by ALWAYS running at 100%. But every1 does it differently, I can respect a quarterback who still plays in the game nursing a back injury. To each his own.

And to answer your question weight is EVERYTHING when you run a high HP FWD (or even RWD). If I am bogged down w/ weight though, I simply would NOT run, that's what I am saying. I will flag the guy down and set it up right. B/c how many times have u seen some1 post a "kill" when the know DAMN well the guy had his wife/kid in the car, or was "heavy"... ya know? I do not want a post of NE1 waxing my EG unless they earn it, and the only way to do that is for both cars to be 100%. That's how I was taught growing up w/ my dad, so I kinda stick with that.

**DISCLAIMER** the pics of my EG are before the weight reduction. While it still looks the same as the pics, it has a VERY diff motor and interior than the pics show. I try to keep my cars off the net daily, too many cops and too many thieves in ATL. LOL

Not to mention I just moved back here (home) after spending 8 years in the Air Force. As a sidenote, do not think for 1 second I offer my slicks to every1 that wants to run... LOL. I am ALWAYS scheming and I am always measuring the competition. To put it bluntly I wanna see what you're gonna lay down at the track. I got out in June of 2004 and started re-building my EG, which at that time was a boosted D (I told you I LITERALLY boutght the very 1st production D series kit from Full Race, that's how long I have had my EG, LOL). I got ADD too, like a mutha-f*cka but if you follow my PMs I am pretty consistent w/ stalking your ass on the boards and tryna get in your zone. It's not a pissing contest to run you or whatever, as we discussed I am down for an equal length header right now NEway. However we do need to link up, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Man, if you read the link I was actually still in the Military then, and that was 2003. And no knock on Sunbelt, but PFISpeed in Ft Collins had to redo the top end (was NOT bad work by Sunbelt, no phone calls saying I am bad-mouthing them, they are TOP NOTCH). PFI just had a different way of thinking that's all. It only laid down 248, but I am sure the motor will lay down 250. Depending on the motor you are building you can get equal work done cheaper than SB though. I had no choice b/c it was a QR25DE build... in 03 that motor was 1 year old, so NO shop in the nation was cracking open those blocks other than AEBS, and I was in SC so the logisitcs did not add up. SB built the motors for Realtime Though http://www.team-rtr.com/cars.htm when they debuted the Spec V in World-Challenge. After the 1st year they lost the bid, but not b/c the motor was not competetive.

EDIT: If you are in a hurry, then you do not want a serious build Bro. I suggest a LOT of patience, and also spec out the build THREE TIMES before you start buying parts. You want to deliver ALL parts from 3rd parties when you drop off the block.

If you like to drag-race, build something that hooks and drag races well (AWD, RWD.)
If you like to roll-race, road-race, whatever, build something that does that well.
Why do people build mega-power FWD cars that wont hook, if they want to be competitive overall in drag-racing (or even roll-racing, if they really cant hook.)
Unless, of course, you are into competing with other "dig-challenged" vehicles as part of a similiar class of cars, which is totally cool and understandable. But, then just dont go out drag racing with cars that hook, and then complain about it.
Or maybe people should use a little discretion with the throttle at lower speeds...you dont have to give it full throttle immediately and constantly. ;)
